This is a very real review. My boyfriend and I arrived at 340pm, really wanted to see the dinner menu however being new to the restaurant, did not know dinner starts at 530.. lunch until 4.. 4-6 is happy hour and 530 is dinner, learning by listening to another waitress talk to a couple nearby table about it.. We were confused about this and probably would have liked to know earlier than later. We ordered a few appetizers that we did enjoy, the candied carrots and rib kabob. However we waited for the dinner menue, never knowing dinner starts at 530. So when we did finally ask to order all the time it took it was then 5 pm. Put in our order, it was off the lunch menu, because we were not given a clear message what times we could order what.. the server, sweet lady, forgot to put in our order and brought us our check after 6pm with just appetizers charged... The owner was showing the prawns (raw, and other dinner rare meats ) to the couple next to us. Its a very interesting dinner menu.. made fresh. While eventually they rushed our order, even the couple that came in an hour after us was served dinner before us. Our dinner (lunch menu items because it was "given" or taken before 530) was brought out perhaps not as hot as I would like. Lobster ravioli, my boyfriend got the scallops, lunch. I understand the server was kind, and the belly dancer was a beautiful touch at our table, we most likely will not go back. It was $121 to be there way longer than any dining experience ive ever had, left at 7 pm (yes, I did mehtion we got the bill way before our food.. she forgot to put our order in) but even the hostess said upon arrival being new, we would get 10% off, which did not happen... It was just so awkward.
The food is pricy, lunch small portions. and because its fresh to order i can only imagine how great dinner would be.. we just missed the boat not understanding the service times and was forgotten on our order. There was other things I could say, positive and negative, however last night definitely was not a 5 star experience for my boyfriend and...
Read moreThis place easily scores 5 stores across the board. Had a WONDERFUL lunch with my family there, including our 16 month old little girl. The staff was beyond kind, thoughtful and so incredibly acommodating. Even the owner came by our table and was so kind to our little girl, gave her toys, sent out special treats from the kitchen, what more could you want!
Well, i suppose the food is an important aspect and that was top notch. Lets start with what matters most. Everything wad fresh, organic and wondefully prepared. No seed oils, healthy ingredients, all thoughtfully prepared with a creative mediteranian/middle eastern inspired menu. Grassfed and grass finished steaks, great variety and wonderful flavors.
Staff made us feel at home, as if we were dining in someones home. Just a great experience and we will definitely be back. Cannot say enough about how great this establishment is. Dean, the owner was just a great and kind human being snd our waitress, an absolute saint, so kind and again, went out of her way to make us feel at home.
Please support this local restaurant, they are doing the right thing for the right reasons. I know we...
Read moreSummer in Phoenix is when you want to be anywhere else but here…and we found a place in the neighborhood that TRANSPORTS YOU—Urban Fraiche! My husband and I came in after grabbing dog food from the epic Noble Beast and LOVED IT. Urban Fraiche feels like you just went on vacation as soon as you step foot in the door! The atmosphere is rich, enveloping, and relaxing; there is music, but not too loud; beautiful carpets soften the noise, and warm and knowledgeable servers bring the most delicious food and drink. Dean, the owner, made us feel like we were in his personal home, and Bri was so attentive as a server. Tiffany made THE BEST MARG EVER (I’m a marg hound) and recommended the prawns that were on the menu that day which were amazing (BTW menu changes daily which is AWESOME!). Food is incredible—it reminded me of eating in Europe where you’re like, man, this is good—and the servers are like, um, tomatoes? The food just TASTES BETTER. Want a quick getaway—Urban Fraiche. Want a third place? Urban Fraiche. Want to have a delicious meal that is actually good for you? Urban Fraiche. Can’t...
