Sweet Republic — Restaurant in Phoenix

Our first time here and we were so excited after reading the reviews to try it out. We had a chance when we walked in to read through at all of the different varieties of ice cream and different choices. However, when it was time to order, the employees were extremely unresponsive. There were a total of four of them behind the counter and not one decided to help us. My family and I were waiting for someone to help us for a good few minutes. They even made eye contact and proceeded to continue their personal chat. I finally had to ask if they were closing because two of them were cleaning up while we were standing in line for someone to take our order and help us. They responded back saying no and proceeded to clean and chat. The other employee took a minute, but eventually ended up taking our order. My family and I were so excited with it being our first time and wanting to try the really unique flavors but decided against it because of how bad the customer service we received. The party in front of got taken care of and the party after us were also taken care of. Not sure what that was all about, but it was extremely rude. Being Asian and wanting to support an Asian owned company I am extremely disappointed with the service that we received this evening. Unsure if I’ll come back because of it. As we were finished with out road trip and heading back to San Francisco, I said why not try one last place! This came up and I saw the unique flavors and that sold me so to Sweet Republic we went!

Karen was an absolute sweetheart and so helpful even when we had questions about a cactus road we were trying to find! We tried many flavors and they were all amazing and different!

Mint ice cream- One of the very few places that I've been to that has REAL mint leaves! This is how mint is supposed to taste and I don't even like mint that much and I loved this!

Almond butter crunch- This tastes EXACTLY like roca! it was so amazing! We got it in a milkshake and it tasted so good that we had to order another one! That's right another one! Calories? What's that?!

Belgian chocolate- I usually don't go for chocolate flavors even if I love them but this one really hit the spot! Very different that regular chocolate!

Brownie swirl- Oh who could resist such a awesome flavor with brownie bits inside of the ice cream? I can't!

You really can't go wrong with any flavors, you can tell they really worked hard on their ice cream and use only the finest ingredients! Thank you again Karen for...

Once upon a time, a very loooong time ago, i worked at the scottsdale location of Sweet Republic. That was 10 years ago! (Where does the time go?) Anyways, in all those years (of no longer working for them), I still always recommended them, for the simple fact that I know the freshness, purity of the ingredients, and how everything is made right there in shop. Freshness and quality, (not to mention the delicious,& unique flavors) you can honestly taste. I was happy to see, and finally visit the other location, closer to my neighborhood (16th street & Bethany Home rd).... Sweet Republic is more than just your average ice cream parlor, it's full of all of your favorite flavors, and unique ones that you won't find anywhere else. Not to mention, the owners have a true passion for what they do...But!
