Gotta love these owner on premises places--what a sweet woman who waited on me and gave me an apple-filled bear claw, which had nice fresh doughiness, but the filling tasted more like pie filling from a can, but I liked the crumbly bit topping over the too-sticky glazes most places always put on bear claws. This one actually looked more like a claw too with discernible appendages that were fun to pull off one by one for ease of eating. Unfortunately, I wanted to try some of the more unique donuts I'd read about, esp. the maple-bacon, but they were all out by the time I arrived at 11:00 am.m so my choices had to be from the more usual items. Prices best if you order more, so would be best to plan to share.

Stopped in with my teen to grab something before heading to er. Always had a great experience but today was off. I arrived 10am very little donut selection which makes sense since they open at 4am. But very limited Boba selections and tea flavors. I ordered a peach tea with mango Boba. My son grabbed a Gatorade. Unfortunately while he went to get his drink a man came in walked.around him grabbed a soda and walked out the shop. Lady stated I happens frequently which is kinda scary when u have kids 😳

The ONLY donut shop I go to in Phoenix. Rainbow Donuts has some of the best donuts in the city mainly because they taste balanced. Some places over do it with waxy coatings or the breading is too heavy, NONE OF THAT HERE! It is locally owned by a family who puts their life into the shop. The fact that they open @ 4am solidifies them as BEST OF PHOENIX! Wonderful people Rainbow also has an extensive menu of coffee, breakfast & lunch sandwiches, as well as boba tea.

I am new to this side of town and decided to give Rainbow Donuts a try because of the great reviews. There were work trucks outside proving this establishment a great place for a delicious breakfast that won’t break the bank! I ordered the jalapeño ham and cheese croissant and a dozen doughnut holes. The baker asked if I wanted the croissant heated and fortunately I did! I was a little confused about where to pay, a regular walked in grabbed her Red Bull and the gentleman asked if she wanted the jalapeño she shook her head yes and it arrived just like that. She paid, mapping out the routine and confirming my lucky choice. The croissant was flaky on the outside and had the perfect balance of thinly sliced ham, cheese, jalapeño and buttery layers of croissant on the inside! I didn’t need the doughnut holes once I ate the croissant but they were also delicious! The purchase was less than $7, confirming my choice once again! This is a breakfast I could eat daily and not have to sacrifice buying my dogs the expensive brand of dogfood from Costco. I will be dreaming of the croissant until next time! Do yourself a favor and grab a quick jalapeño, ham and cheese croissant on your way to work. Don’t sleep...

Omg run away far away, so I walk in today with my six year old an 12 year old daughters to get of course donuts. We walked in some lady yelled from back be right with you. No problem 👍 but the smell was so bad I couldn't hold my breath. It was filled with flies, the place were donuts are kept was dirty ,old, needs an upgrade. All I could do was show my daughters when you walk in a Bakery an you get this smell walk away very kindly but fast. The smell was like an old farm house with a old rat dead behind the freezer . . Or a mouse dead under fridge type smell it was horrible my six year old I had to explain to her why we were leaving . She understood , my next call was to my boss yes on a weekend to let them know cancel all our future orders with them for daily we get deliveries from here ..we jus never came inside ... I had to snap photos to show my boss.. Needless to say we drove 20 miles out our way to get kk 🍩 Someone needs to do a complete cleaning of that place an no it's not jus I'm ocd ..this...

Best donuts in town. The blueberry filled one is to die for. Plus the staff is awesome. Gotta get there super early to get the most variety, but it's worth it. HOWEVER, on this occasion (approx 9:30am on April 25th my wife and I came in for 2 sub Crossoints and 2 blueberry donuts. We also wanted coffee but the machine was down so we grabbed 2 starbucks cold to go bottles and bought those instead. The donuts and sandwich was awesome as always, but halfway through our coffee we notced it had stuff on the bottom of the bottle. Upon checking the date, it was about 10 days past it's experation date. Being as I finished my whole coffee, I sure hope I don't get sick from it. Please go through your product, because this place is good, but I won't come again if I end up with another...
