When my daughter was born, her tongue and lip ties went undiagnosed for over a month. I was determined to breastfeed, but I was nearing the edge of despair with all of the problems we encountered. I had already breastfed my first child with no problems, so the constant pain, disappearing supply, latch problems, etc. were incredibly overwhelming. After we got the tie revisions, working with Dana at the Milk Spot was the best thing I ever did for my daughter and I's nursing relationship. I was very hesitant to work with a lactation consultant having been let down by many leading up to our first visit. But Dana was different! I knew immediately that working with her on a regular basis was going to provide the support, encouragement, and practical help that we needed in order to continue. Every visit was extraordinarily helpful and worth our time. I was able to see firsthand how breastfeeding was improving, slowly but surely. My husband and I even called Dana in the midst of a crisis moment at home, and she was calm and ever so patient with us. I only wish that I had found her sooner. Love this place! Dana is amazing! I was about to give up on breast feeding until I met Dana! My baby had a recent lip and tongue tie release done with another lactation office and after our follow-up appointment at the other office, her latch wasn't improving and they explained thats all we can do and to continue the exercises with her.
