never have I ever been treated so awful. while paying for my things at self-checkout this older lady that I didn't know at the time I've never seen before literally stands within a few feet of the self-checkout behind it and literally stared me down like I was a criminal I understand that some people steal but I literally sat there while being stared at scanning my items then paid for them before I was even done she approached me then turned the self check screen around to where it was facing her as my receipt was still printing off. I started pushing my things towards the door once the receipt came out not thinking there was any problem other than the way that lady. I barely get to the door and the lady flags me down telling me I forgot to pay for my puppy pads . I told her I had no problem paying for them but excuse me for forgetting to scan one single item while you stare me down like I'm committing a crime which she tried to deny and say she was drinking or eating I forget which but no way around it it was deliberately her staring me down watching my every movement she than started pulling my cart away from me with my purse still in the cart along with items I'd already purchased. I told her how I felt about her nitpicking at me and causing a huge seen and told her why she's at it why don't she go to the rest of my things which she did gladly just hoping that I had done something wrong. she pulls my cart to the resgister like I said with my things still inside of it and goes to start ringing me up but because she was so horrible and caused such a issue over me forgetting one single item I told her to give me a refund because I refuse giving a business like that any of my money . her name was Wanda and hopefully you all have a better experience...

Bleh. This is not a convenience store. This is a let's make maximum profit store. All to the detriment of the employees and inconvenience of the customers. I hate Dollar General, but they are as ubiquitous as Walmart in this rural area. Sometimes I have no choice but to patronize them. At least now the local DG has self serve checkouts. Decent food. Only complaint they forgot our appetizer and other customers wanted our table and waited closely impatiently waiting. Husband liked the bbq sampler with chicken, brisket and pulled pork.
