I am writing this review as a person who only donates items to New Horizon. I appreciate the quick drop-off with no going through my bags/boxes. I picked this thrift shop because I've actually had to stand there and wait at 3 other thrift shops for them to go through my donations and actually refuse some items ... like a lead glass punch bowl and glasses in perfect condition (from the 60's)! I never donated items dirty or damaged. I also am aware of what items NOT to donate - like TVs, computers, sofas, ... I'd rather donate my items than try to sell them on Marketplace and, again, love that New Horizon just accepts the donations and gives me a receipt. (However, the last time I brought something in, when I got home I noticed the receipt wasn't signed.) The certificate was for $20.00 dollars I spent $17.00 she said she couldn't give me any cash for remaining money.
