The hubby and I moved into a new condo and needed a washer/dryer. Neither of us have ever purchased one before but knew the basics on what to look for. Bottom line - we needed something fast and within our budget. I'll admit I was a little nervous because of some of the other reviews but I'm glad I took a chance.
Entering we were immediately greeted by Skye, a likeable and down to earth woman that was super helpful, really nice and while we enjoyed talking with her she didn't do the "Salesman Hover". I hate that. There was no pressure and the place had a good vibe. She was great, answered any questions and concerns we had and helped us go over a couple options with different washers.
We ended up with a GE washer & dryer- normal size with a top load wash and front load dry. When all was said and done we paid a little over $500 for the set which was in the ballpark of what we were willing to spend. Checkout was a breeze and She explained everything to us, including that THEY DELIVER + INSTALL FREE (Thankfully because I have a disabling back injury and my husband has back problems too.) They have a 30 day guarantee so that we could return them or switch them out if for any reason we weren't happy. The receipt/signature information regarding the warranty, repairs and returns was all in plain English, easy to understand and not trying to hide anything or wrap their words in legal mumbo jumbo.
The delivery guys showed up right on time if not a little early and Skye called us from the store to tell us they were on their way. (We work from home so a heads up is always appreciated.)
The guys were pretty fast at hooking it all up-especially considering they had to move our refrigerator to make the clearance into the laundry room. They both did a great job but I will say the younger guy was super nice and went above and beyond to make sure we got them installed, working and were happy.
The only bad thing that happened was the knob on the washer that adjusts the size load broke in transit, but they gave us options and in the end we wanted to keep the set. It's stuck on Large load and that's all we use anyway.
The washer/dryer themselves are good quality. I cleaned them both thoroughly, ran some Afresh through a couple cycles and while they had a few hiccups initially (like any used appliance that may have sat for bit), but it's now over a month later and they're still working great!
If you're looking to buy a quality used appliance I highly recommend Affordable Wholesale. Great staff and they back up their products. We'll probably be back in a few months looking for a refrigerator.
Plus, it's nice to purchase from a "Mom & Pop" shop since small businesses are hurting so much right now. So, check em out. I'm a happy customer. And if you follow me on social media you know I NEVER RECOMMEND SOMETHING I DON'T USE MYSELF AND HAD A GOOD...
Read moreBE FOREWARNED! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING HERE! We bought a fridge, paid $450 for it. We had it less than 2 months, and it wouldn't freeze or get cold. Mike referred us to repair man. Repair man said the commpressor was bad. Mike insisted that it was caused by a power surge. Repair man said it was a bad compressor. From reading other reviews, it seems a "power surge caused it and he's not repsonsible for power surges" is Mike's standard go to as to why he won't do anything to make things right for people who trusted him. Mike refused to do anything for us to make it right. We are seniors on a fixed income and this put us in a very bad financial situation. What goes around, comes around. Mike, your response is a total fabrication. Yes, we were out of warranty ... by less than a month. Repair man DID NOT SAY issue was caused by power surge. He said that it had a 3+1 overload on it ... this was caused by you making a last ditch effort so it would run. He said you knew it was on it's last legs when you sold it to us. You DID NOT check our mobile home for wiring ... so how can you say our mobile home had substandard wiring! You are fabricating this! And, the contract does make any mention of power surges. Again, another fabrication. And, the reason I hung up on you was because you were getting nasty and belligerent with me. You still wanted to work with me? Then, why did you say a number of times that you would do nothing to make this right for us. So, how about making it right then? What are you going to do to...
Read moreBuyer beware. I purchased a refrigerator for my garage on July 18, and it was delivered on July 22. It worked for about two weeks, then started failingâthe ice cream melted by week three, and after a short trip away, I returned to find it not cooling at all.
When I called the company, they told me the warranty had expiredâby only five daysâand referred me to âTony,â an independent repairman. I declined, since I have my own trusted technician.
My technician, who has 30 years of appliance repair experience, opened the unit and immediately found clear signs of prior flood damage. There was a visible water line inside the fridge, and corrosion on the copper tubing up to that lineâevidence this refrigerator had sat in salt water before it was sold to me. When my technician came out it was very low on refrigerant and after charging it still would not cool at all. I changed the settings that they left when delivering the refrigerator after it stopped cooling with no luck. I have since purchased a new refrigerator from lowes and paid them $60 to haul this one away after learing it is a fire hazard from the water damage. I should add that I have another 20 year old refrigerator next to it that cools just fine in the garage environment.
This is the first negative review Iâve ever written, but I feel itâs important: they sold me a defective, flood-damaged refrigerator. My next step is filing a complaint with the State...
