Our buying experience was great. Jason and crew, so helpful, no pressure sales. We had fun, and everything went smooth, until delivery day.

The delivery, set up with americas most reliable movers, was horrible. They expected me to sign, before delivery, a liability clause. Photo attached. The leader was confrontational about the liability clause, saying everyone signs, and it’s just about hitting the walls. I said no signing, you can take furniture back to store. They decided to proceed without me signing. I’m so glad I didn’t sign, they were rude and rough. The leader asked me who owned the house, this made me uncomfortable. Why would he need to know this. One guy kept saying over and over, “this is taking too long, we have all those miles to drive yet”. This made the whole delivery traumatizing. It was a difficult delivery, because a table had to be taken apart. Which they tried hard not to do, until they realized they would have to bring it back to the store if they didn’t. We had to watch them closely, because they were not careful, and hit some walls and the refrigerator. Matter brothers does not own the moving company, but they have the responsibility to properly vet the companies they use. A customer should be informed upfront that a liability clause must be signed prior to delivery, as this is not customary.

Yesterday I checked around different furniture stores in the area for (36" or taller), TV cabinet to accommodate a 75" flat screen and sound bar. I eventually checked Matter Brothers' Outlet store and upon entering the store, I was quickly greeted by a very nice sales person named Bill. After learning what I was looking for, Bill showed me several TV cabinets and took various measurements of each unit then gave me their respective prices so I could take everything home for comparison. Today, I returned to the outlet store and a purchased a discontinued but like-new cabinet which was originally priced at ~$3200 but sold for $993! To make the deal even sweeter, Bill knew I was leaving town and needed this unit asap, so he called the mover and even though they were already at capacity, he was able to fit me in a same day delivery! In short, Bill was of immence assist to me in finding a well made TV cabinet which met the specifications needed at a third of the price and ... was able to negotiate same day delivery. Husband and I bought a bedroom set , love it and fortunately we’ve had no problems with the furnitute itself but we we were promised a delivery date which was very important as I was coming home from the hospital after brain surgery, my poor husband had to spend the entire morning making several trips ( he has a small truck) to go get mattress and entire frame, large dresser and two night stands, not what you should have to do on the day brain surgery patient finally coming home, it was very stressful........ The other thing we bought (which I guess we should have known better) is a large expensive table and 4 chairs, it is real wood but around the entire edge of table it’s like the coating is complete melt gone , it’s in several other areas also , it’s gotten so bad that after about a year and a half we just cover it with table cloths, so dad, this should not happen with an expensive table, I could not be any more disappointed, it’s too bad beacause I loved their selection but...
