Mac's Fresh Market — Local services in Pineville

Mac's Fresh Market is the first grocery store I've ever chosen to review. My reason is because my shopping experiences every time I shop there are very satisfying and pleasant. I actually make a shopping list just for Mac's. The Pineville store is the cleanest, most orderly, well managed grocery in this area. It is not a "super warehouse" grocery, nor does it have the largest variety of name brands which can be found at other grocery stores. However, as a "cost-plus 10%) store, prices are always fair. And their frequent sales allow customers to shop wisely and cost effectively. Of special mention is the meat department. I find it to be very well stocked, and the associates are helpful when special orders are requested. One suggestion is to be sure to train new checkout "clerks" to greet customers with a welcoming smile. And teach them to "bag" items according to type, i.e. dry goods with dry goods, no caned items with bakery items, chips or "crushables," and wet and frozen items together to maintain cool temperature until unpacked at home. Yes, sometimes they are a couple cents more, and yes thier selection/variety of goods cab be inferior to other stores at times, BUT they have awesome sales and coupons, they always fresh produce and meat, and best of all the customer service is hands down the best in CenLa. Small town grocery feel. They still have people that will bag your groceries and bring them to your car if needed. Free cup of coffee when you enter. Decent prices.
