Stay far away! They will steal your money. Disorganized office management.Unprofessional!

Let me tell you about how incompetent this provider’s office is with patients. I saw this office in February 2019 and paid my co-pay amounts. I didn’t realize my Cigna Flexible Spending Account at my employer was automatically sending out my co-payment amounts to this provider which meant I was double paying. I contacted the office back in February about this and was told “Our Billing Department” will be in touch. I never heard from their “Billing Department” and called back another 2 times and didn’t get any calls back. I finally got in touch and was told the “Billing Dept” would be handling this and they will be mailing me my overpayment which never happened. Fast forward 90 to 120 days later and I still haven’t received my overpayment. I showed up at their office one day to get my payment unannounced and was told their Nutritionist has my check and she’s not in. I then get a call back from this Nutritionist who tells me she has my check and will give to me at my next appointment instead of mailing it to me. I go on a trip and forget about my appointment. I contact them that same day to cancel and ended up cancelling the following days appointment in less than 24-hours. Never was I told I was going to get no show fees on the call. I had made all my other appointments previously.

I get a call earlier this week from one of the Nutritionists telling me she has my check and was going to give it to me at my appointment I missed and I asked for her to mail it out. She said no problem and it’s in the mail and should arrive within the next day or so.

It’s now a week later and I live locally and still no overpayment check.

I call the office and leave a message last night and get a call today telling me I’m not getting any check because they are using that money for my “No Show” fees. So I waited 90 to 120 days for this small provider to repay me back my money only for them to lie to me about the check in the mail and decide to use my overpayment for “No Show” fees. I didn’t even get a courtesy call that they were no longer sending my check. I had to be the one to follow-up with this office. The office person I dealt with today, Ashley, tells me that Nutritionist was told not to communicate that my check was in the mail. How unprofessional they put other people at their office under the bus.

Horrible office management. Stay far away from this providers office! I will surely tell my doctor who had them on his recommended list and Cigna about how terrible they are....

I've been working with Sara at SHS Nutrition since July 2019. She was referred by Dr. Sadek's office as a recommended nutritionist to see before my sleeve gastrectomy surgery which was scheduled for October 2019. From my first appointment with Sara, I immediately felt comfortable with her and knew she would be able to help and support me in the long run through-out this difficult process and life changing procedure. We discussed the surgery, post and pre-op instructions, etc. and her helpful front desk staff took care of all my insurance paperwork seamlessly. I left her office feeling confident, hopeful and determined to succeed. Fast forward to 9 months later and I'm 6 months out from my surgery which was a success! Sara has been the BIGGEST and BEST support system and I know I could not have done this successfully without her knowledge and guidance. I am so grateful for her - she truly cares about the success of each of her patients, takes her time to get to know you, your goals, and is ready to get you to where you want to be. She works with you to make meal plans, answer questions thoroughly and explains nutrition at a high level that you are able to understand! I knew NOTHING about fueling my body properly before I met Sara and she has taught me so much while I was able to completely change my lifestyle long term. Regardless if you are considering bariatric surgery or not, I highly recommend seeing Sara if you are serious about getting on track with your health, weight and nutrition. I could not express my gratitude enough for the support of Sara and her staff at SHS Nutrition. I know I will absolutely be a long-time patient of Sara's for years to...

There are so many wonderful things that i can say about SHS Nutrition. I met Sara i want to say way over 10 years ago and i knew from the start that she was meant to be in my life. I have struggled for years with my weight and she was the best person to go to for help. I started my real weightloss journey January 2015 and had the gastric sleeve surgery June 2015 and through the whole process Sara was there for me. She guided me on the right path. She was there from the very start,she was there all through out the process of getting surgery and even after surgery. I am now 4 1/2 years post op and Sara is still here by my side. she is there for me any time that i need her. Without her i would not be where i am today. Sara is more then just my nutritionist,she is one of my closest friends. She is there for me and when i need to cry she lets me cry. When i need to laugh she helps me laugh. Most of all she shows that she cares,she shows what being a dedicated individual and friend js all about. So without Sara and SHS nutrition i do not know where i would be today.
