I've been a Verizon customer for 17 years. I have always been treated with respect whenever I've had to stop by a store for technical support, upgrades, to purchase accessories, etc.
Well, at 9p on NYE my Google Pixel 1 decided to give up. I have enjoyed this phone over the past few years and was adamant above staying with the Pixel. I LOVE THIS PHONE!
Earlier this evening, I visited the Verizon store in Pittsburg, CA and was immediately greeted by two salesmen, Christopher & Jack. I didn't even have both feet in the door. It was refreshing to feel important, the minute I walked in the door.
I explained my issue, I also explained that I wanted another Pixel. Christopher initiated the process and within minutes I had a new Pixel 4. Christopher went on to explain some changes to my plan, he reminded me that my insurance plan rolled over, etc.
While Christopher, Jack and I engaged ourselves in small talk during this visit, I noticed several things:
These two young men were very professional and knowledgeable.
They weren't pushy and didn't try to sell me something I didn't need.
They acknowledged how I'd been a customer for 17 years. Sidebar: Verizon you should have a loyalty program for people who have been customers for over 10 years. JUST A SUGGESTION.
4.They thoroughly explained everything that was taking place, clearly and with enthusiasm.
If you live in the Pittsburg/Antioch/Brentwood area and you are a Verizon customer, I highly recommend you go to this location for support services. I will definitely be back if/when I need to walk in to a store. Thank you Chris & Jack!

My mom wanted to make the switch from Samsung to iPhone. It took forever to get everything transferred, and not everything got transferred. He basically said she needed to go to an official Verizon store because theyāre just a retailer. I wish he would have told us this up front, that way we could have got everything done at an official store/one trip. The other thing was- he told my mom that everything would be included because of some promotion; case, screen protector, charger, etc. But he ended up charging her for literally every single thing.
Then he said she had a month to turn in her old phone. And that we HAD to come back to that specific store. So we went back today. Waited an entire hour for the ONE representative that was working in there, just for the guy to tell us she needs to mail it in. And he canāt accept it. What a waste of our timeā¦
I just wouldnāt even recommend going in here. Go to the one off Lonetree or just make sure itās an official Verizon store- staffed...

Matt was SUPER helpful; explained everything in detail from my bill changes to spec features on my new 15 Pro Max and answered all my detailed questions. He made upgrading my phone and ordering the watch a breeze! Came back today and met with Matt, Daniel, and another lovely colleague whose name Iām soooo irritated that I didnāt catch! Again, setup for my Apple Watch was seamless and at some point all three individuals worked on setting it up while working with customers who had inquiries - talk about teamwork! The hospitality is absolutely amazing and they really will work with you to find something that works for you. I also really appreciated how informative and knowledgeable the staff are here and really appreciate the top tier customer service they provide !
