This review is long overdue. Iâm what they call a âWatch Nerdâ, and Iâve been a loyal customer at Orrâs in Squirrel Hill for the past several years. The Staff and selection there are world class. I always work with Marcella and her co-worker Jeremy. They are the best in the biz when it comes to watches. You wont find a more patient or knowledgeable pair of sales associates in the world. They are 100% the reason I keep going back to Orrâs. I think most people are becoming more aware of the recent popularity in Fine Swiss Watches. Major Brands like Rolex are having trouble keeping up with the current demand. Covid shutdowns worldwide in 2020 only added to the scarcity of the most sought after Timepieces. With new inventory unable to meet the demand of the consumer, pre-owned watch prices have soared! The identical phenomenon occurred in the automobile industry. The idea of paying more for a used item than you would for new one (if available) is totally crazy! Buy new from Orrâs! When you buy your Brand New Timepiece from Marcella you will get in some cases up to an 8 year factory warranty! You wonât get that from a grey market Pirate! Orrâs handles some of the most exclusive timepieces on the market today! Rolex, Tudor, IWC, Panerai, Breitling, Tag Heuer, JLC and Cartier! Unless you plan on going to the moon some time soon, ORRâS has you coveredđ. So you may be askingâŠIs this Watch Nerd Guy trying to provide me with some sort of âringing endorsement â of ORRâS Jewlers? Simply put YES! Seriously, donât waste another minute shopping on line for watches. Get some fresh air! Drive to Squirrel Hill park your car and walk by all the cool shops and stores on Forbes Ave and treat yourself to the ORRâS Jewlers Experience. Believe me you wonât be disappointed. This year my wife and I are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. I stopped in to see Marcella back at the end of summer and told her that there was a particular Rolex watch that I fancied for my girl. I told her I wanted it to be a gift for Our 30th. She gave me the Marcella grin, (youâll get to know it) and said âLou Iâll do my best but you have to be patientâ Last week I got a call from her letting me know that my wifeâs watch was in! I canât tell you how grateful I am for all the hard work Marcella and the rest of the Orrâs team put into making every customer feel special. Whether you plan to spend $500 dollars or $50000 dollars, youâll always feel like a VIP at ORRâS! By the wayâŠthey...
Read moreDuring my first and LAST visit, I was extremely disappointed by the lack of quality customer services shown to my husband and I. We were there to have his bracelet on his watch adjusted. From the mature front desk receptionist not acknowledging our entry, to the young lady who gave a less than average reception, to the representative who adjusted the bracelet, And the security guard who tried to be "low key" in following us...below average service.đ Was this because we're African American? Possibly. Nonetheless, we had every right to be treated with respectable service. I noticed that a employee couldn't resist doing a double take to get a glance of the type of watch my husband had in the green Rolex box. The stares were very noticeable and uncomfortable. My initial thoughts were," they're just stuffy". Then, while we were being serviced, the same representative that gave us a half welcome, rolled out the red carpet for an Asian couple that came in shortly after us. Let me be clear, I never play the "race card." Honestly, being of a multicultural background, I never had to do so. My husband and I are both graduates of Taylor Allderdice High School. So diversity was introduced to us at an early age. We didn't need quality customer service because of our race, just because you opened the door to service the community therefore, That would make quality customer service a must! This experience left me feeling that as a country, we really haven't come very far. It doesn't matter how much money you "think" someone has or what color they are, kindness and courtesy are FREE! However, the value in those traits are invaluable. In closing, I would suggest that Orr's Jeweler's work on learning tolerance and more importantly, learn to be more diverse. Because you're encountering people of all nationalities... money is green. DO BETTERâŒïžđ

Read moreI had my engagement ring fixed here and was very pleased with the service and workmanship. Two days after moving to the area, my family heirloom diamond came out of my ring. We were lucky to find it - and I was stressed about having it properly repaired since we didn't know a soul in town!
I visited a couple of jewelers to inquire about repair because I wanted to feel confident in the craftsmanship and be sure it wouldn't happen again. The other jewelers that I visited did not have the person that would do the repair talk to me, just the sales people gave me rough estimates.
At Orr's, they were very helpful and the man that was actually going to reset the stone came out and looked at it in advance. He told us what the problem was with the setting (it had been custom made elsewhere when we were engaged less than 3 years ago) and how he would repair it. The price was much better than the other places we visited, too!
When the ring was returned it looked even better than before and I can tell it is more secure and safe. We have since taken it in for appraisal, which was an easy and hassle free process, even though I had a hectic schedule that week. (I was able to drop off a day early and pick up a day late.) They have absolutely gorgeous pieces for sale and everyone that works there is SUPER friendly! I will...
