As soon as my wife and I started planning our wedding, I knew I wanted to get all of my menswear from Stephen Valenti’s Clothing for Men. I love an opportunity to dress up and have been going to see Evan at Valenti’s for years. The experience throughout the wedding process is a perfect example of why I will keep going back even though I no longer live in the area. Evan made time for me and my fiancée about a year ahead of the wedding. He kept us informed of key info about timing for decisions, fabric availability, and how he would be able to help. Six months out we looked at options for rental and buying (all within my price range). We were able to do this coordination in person and over text/email. Evan made everything super easy. He helped make sure everyone’s clothes would fit including groomsman dispersed throughout the country, managed all the payments, and helped us all have a unique look that we would all be excited to wear again. Steven Valenti’s was old school in all the best ways. We strolled in on a cold winter day, having just come from Hotel on North. We were loitering really—waiting for friends. A few turns around the store revealed a lot of charming antiques integrated with beautiful men’s clothing. The staff was friendly and perfectly reserved—no hard sell, just friendly banter and enough distance to make us feel welcome to browse. We ended up upgrading a few basics for Mark; a sharp new dress shirt, perfectly sized, and some really great advice on ties. The surprise was how reasonable it all was—for the kind is service and help getting just the right size, a perfect tie-only Brooks Brothers or the old Louis Boston might have that level of service-at thrice (or more) the price. Steven Valenti is a first class establishment. Evan is up to date on all the new fashion trends and his knowledge on materials and designers are exceptional. I moved from Pittsfield to Atlanta, GA in 2019 and was saddened that I could no longer shop at Steven Valenti's-- or so I thought. My wife reached out to Evan as she wanted to buy me a new blazer for Christmas. Evan was able to send photos of a few different styles that he thought might interest me.
