Well here we are a couple years later and have emailed this company about 4 times with no response! We have tickets for the Beacon Cinema, which is what ours is, that we've been holding onto and were told we could use, however, when we went on memorial day were told they won't accept them! I have emailed over and over trying to reach someone so they can make it right and have even sent pictures of the tickets we have and have got no response! I tried emailing from the contact us on the web page and directly from the email I got from the theater, I just don't understand why there is always an issue! Just because you guys bought the theater doesn't mean you dismiss what was already in place or maybe, again, your employees should be trained better, they didn't even know what the tickets were! I just want my son to be able to use his tickets!
Edit: After posting my review one of the managers got in contact with me and was able to look up my order and see that they had indeed overcharged us. We were treated to a couple VIP tickets for me and my son to be able to go back and have a different experience the next time around. We love this place so I'm glad to see them try to rectify the situation and quickly as well!
Lion king was fantastic and I love the seats, however, I got overcharged first by about 10 bucks. I questioned it and then after finding out the actual prices realized I still got overcharged and because the manager "didn't see it himself" there was nothing he could do! I never thought I'd need a receipt for the movies, especially cuz we're there all the time but tonight they were just rude and unapologetic ALWAYS GET A RECEIPT or don't expect to get help from...
Read moreI don't know where to begin about this place. It's terrible. You can hear the movies of other theaters through the walls... clearly, especially during quiet scenes in your movie or loud scenes in other theaters. Their showtimes are terrible, though this is a trend in most theaters these days. It's staffed with younger and disinterested staff. Although, the worst problem is not entirely the beacon's fault because most of the blame rests on the area and the fact that every single time I go to a movie, there is some idiot talking full volume the whole time, ruining the viewing experience. Here's the thing though, they don't check on the movies like in most theaters. If they would just send an usher in once or twice throughout the movie, these types of situations could be avoided or at least mediated, but the beacon is more concerned with searching you for candy contraband than customer satisfaction. Don't go here if you don't like people going through your purse or pockets to make sure you didn't sneak a snickers bar in. I would ask for my money back because I've yet to see a movie (even when there is like 10 people in the theater) where things have gone smoothly and I've left satisfied, but I would literally have to ask every single time.. and to be quite frank, I think I'm done giving this place chance after chance. Give your money to the little cinema or the triplex in GB, hell... even go the mall..they at least care about...
Read moreWent here for the first time tonight. It seemed like an overall nice theater. The movie audio and video was fine, the price was right for a matinee. I really liked the recliners, very comfortable and easy on the back. I do wish North Street Parking, or parking behind the theater were more readily available. There is a lot, but it's a paid and permitted lot (I dislike those being on fixed income). I was surprised to find the actual theaters split on multiple levels, but there was an escalator to go up. Sadly there was no escalator down, and the elevator was a bit of a walk to reach with a bad leg. The main lobby was different, I am so used to arcade games and pinball machines in theaters since I was a child, but this one had a player piano - though soft jazz (I think that's what was playing) isn't my thing, and it was a little louder than I would have liked for a lobby. I get it though, they are trying to set a mood and fit in with the nearby cafe's and restaurants. I will more than likely see another movie here again, it is far nicer overall than my last experience at the mall. It almost brings back the days of my childhood when there were several theaters on...
