UPDATE: Dr. Deepak Gupta has spoken with me about my review and apologized for the outcome of my consultation. Itās really great to see my review be taken in consideration. It truly shows that this office really cares for anyone that comes visit regardless if they are potential patients looking for consultation or loyal existing patients. I appreciate the call and more so clarity to the situation from their point of view.
Dr. Deepak Gupta is whom handled my free consultation. He asked me what my goal was and then from there it was a blunt conversation of how my teeth looked like. He made sure to say he wasn't saying my previous braces work was done horribly, he said my jaw and growing up made my teeth the way it is now. He followed up saying the best way to fix the issue completely is jaw surgery. He mentioned he can straight my teeth but will still have an angled over bite. I asked for more clarity on angled over bite because wasn't sure what that would look like. He looked at me as if I asked a ridiculous question and told me they can show me with visual simulation scan. I am sensitive and started tearing up a bit, I never had a good experience in past going to orthodontist. I apologized for being sensitive (even though I didnāt need as the customer) and he said it's fine and kept going on with what my options are. He didn't hand me any tissues or give me any empathy. I think that was where I knew even the friendly persona of the office doesn't mean everyone will be friendly to you as the customer.
His staff, Michelle, up front was friendly. Didn't interact much with her since wait time was real quick. Julie was the person who did all my X-rays. She talked more with coworkers than me. I tried sharing my past horrible experience at last orthodontist with her and she seemed uninterested. Someone else handled my screening for simulation, I was tearing up a bit in chair still (as this happened after speaking with Dr. Gupta) and she didn't seem to notice or say anything. Business as usual.
There were only two people in the office that truly showed some empathy for my emotions. It was an assistant (wish I got her name, she was the sweetest, I believe it was Cynthia or Sarah) and Dr. Vick Gupta. She took a quick pause from her patient next to me and brought me tissues on the side unexpectedly as I sat there sniffling and waited to hear about simulation scan results. Then Dr. Vick Gupta was making his rounds and decided to look at my chart then asked me if I was alright. I told him I'm ok and dried my tears. He said he was sorry and said nobody in the office wants to make me feel bad at all by any means. You can hear Dr. Deepak Gupta in background checking my screened simulation behind my chair chuckle a bit.
I definitely believe the office was professional and has tons of knowledge for what they do. I also believe they can do a good job as past reviews have stated so. This was just my consultation so maybe going through treatment will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJuly 23, 2024 Wow, itās been 7 years since my review and Iām reminded of this office as I look into getting orthodontic treatment done by someone else to fix the issues I have from receiving treatment at Gupta Orthodontics.
I didnāt mention all the issues I had with the result of my braces and the ~$3000 that were spent here. And after my braces were taken off, they immediately asked me to give them a 5-star review.
My teeth were already pretty straight beforehand, but they somehow messed it up within the 1 year I had braces.
Immediate Results From Braces: Midline shift - centerline of my upper and lower front teeth donāt line up The left side of my teeth have a natural U-shape; the right side of my teeth are more flat and closer to my tongue kind of shaped like the number 7 Gap between upper and lower molars causing poor occlusion and difficulty chewing food The way the permanent retainer behind my lower teeth was installed makes it difficult to floss. Thereās another way to install these that allows you to for without using floss threaders
After Guptaās Response to My Google Review: I visited the office to address the gap between my upper and lower molars.
One of the issues for the gap was from him adding bite blocks to my rear molars which kept my teeth open. He then used rubber bands to allow the other teeth to have proper occlusion (where the teeth close down) except the rear molars. I believe the bite blocks were kept in place and removed only when my braces were taken off so there wasnāt time for the rear molars to settle and get proper occlusion. He also had retainers made where there was extra material added to the bottom retainer where the rear molars were. I constantly had a gap between my upper and bottom molars and couldnāt chew, which I addressed in my review.
Dr. Gupta neglected to properly address the issue and told me to stop using my bottom retainers instead of getting them replaced with retainers that didnāt have extra material causing the gap or re-treating my teeth. Sure, my teeth meet now, but of course all of my teeth have shifted. Whatās the point of getting braces when I canāt properly use retainers to maintain the results, albeit poor?

I looked online to find an orthodontist and came because I saw great reviews. Both the staff members and Dr. Gupta are extremely friendly, listen to my concerns, explain my options, and then treat it accordingly. But my end results were not good because I ended up with a gap between my top and bottom row of teeth that makes it ineffective to chew. He told me to just use my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGupta Orthodontics is the best Orthodontic clinic in DFW. Hands down from clinic ambience, services and to all the staff. Dr. Deepak was also the Orthodontist of my sister and nephew. He is very approachable, knowledgeable and skilled in his craft. He is legitimately Board Certified Orthodontist rest assured. He makes the treatment personalized depending on what you need. Bedside manner is most awesome. He makes sure he takes time checking on his patients and he listens to their needs/request that's for sure. I was trying to convince Dr. Deepak to remove my Damon Braces before this year 2022 ends, good thing my teeth did fairly move and aligned fast before I get my new molar implants plus I was also compliant coming in for follow up. It always gets me excited visiting the clinic because they make you feel home. I'm so glad upon seeing my whole new teeth again without the brackets, I was so ecstatic!!! And I cant stop smiling. š
When Dr. Vic (younger brother), joined his brother's team. It's definitely an icing on the cake, the whole team was even more awesome and recommendable. He makes sure he greets all patients and interacts with them with empathy. He is for sure an added asset to the already great team of his brother. I could not say anything less. Bedside manner, Professionalism and Skills are really best displayed by the Gupta duo.š
Shout out to Sarah who has been there with me all throughout my pre and post treatment phase. She's definitely cool and will take care of you. š
This clinic is also very thoughtful of their patients they give you options on completing payments for your treatment, options to do whitening and retainers options without being forced upon. Awesome clinic staff!
Thankful for having a great team! Sepanx is real but you guys...
