A passive aggressive strike?
We were here for the Labor Day weekend. The front desk staff provided the least hospitable experience that I have had at a hotel. Not rude, just indifferent. No greeting, no smile. Check out at the front desk was the same experience.
The hotel is conveniently located with quick access to the major parkways. Watch carefully, the entrance to the hotel parking lot is unmarked at the street and easy to miss. The hotel is tucked behind another business. If you have business in the area this hotel is convenient.
I booked directly with the hotel (online), which is the best way to book your travel. I added the hotelās breakfast, which is decent and fairly priced considering the convivence. They have a good selection of food, hot and cold items, all you can eat, eggs can be ordered cooked to your preference and they have those neat chirping waffle makers. Here the malted batter flip waffle cookers make a Texas state shaped cake.
We had a king suite, which is not particularly spacious, but well laid out and adequate. I am not sure how old the facility is, but the rooms are showing wear. Typical noisy hotel air conditioner.
The lobby is nice. Good coffee is available 24/7. It is a comfortable place to sit and visit. Much better than the miserable uncomfortable couch/sofas in the rooms. Iām bringing folding camp chairs next time for the hotel room. If you desire, the rooms are serviced daily with fresh towels and the beds are made.
It is Labor Day weekend. I caught a TV news article about the hotel workers strike going on at major cities on the east and west coast this weekend. That may explain the front desk service. Passive aggressive strike?
Are Hotels going the way of Walmart? BONVoY has an app for that! It offers self-check in, self-checkout, and your phone unlocks the door to your room.
Will there be no front desk...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI made reservations to celebrate my husband's birthday. I called twice before arrival to verify I could pay for the room in cash with $100 deposit on my card for incidentals. Upon arrival, I was told that I could not pay in cash, and I was charged $293.80 for incidentals. Ms. LaShondra at the desk didn't seem interested in my concerns when I took her my phone to see the additional funds pending. I was told it would be returned to me in 5 to 7 business days. I called customer service and opened a case on the discrepancy. The next morning, Mr. Carlos verified they received the case # and was very helpful in contacting management on my behalf. Thank you again, Carlos. Mr. Hooper did contact me via email and wanted to have an in person conversation about the issue, but we checked earlier the next morning.||The hotel is very clean and is in a prime location. Most of the customer service was top tier. Even with the issues with billing, we will most definitely be staying...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI stayed in this hotel on April 11th and 12th 2023. I was told that receipt will be sent by email during checkout. I did not receive it. I followed up today morning and gentleman sent me zero balance receipt with no room charges. Called him again and he said it is sent by email but I never received it. Just called in the evening, Lady told me that, I have booked it through my corporate Egencia so I should ask receipt to Egencia. I stayed entire week in different Marriott's in different cities. But all bills and credit in my Bon Voy account were seen next day. I don't get anything from this hotel in spite of follow up. I am just asking what I need to get it. What kind of Marriott is this? Never experienced such thing from any Marriott. I am frequent traveler. If Marriott management is listening, ...
