The Bloom Lounge — Restaurant in Plano

What we ordered: Italian Ben-⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Not very Italian aside from the fact it has prosciutto but good) Mixed Berry Pancakes-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(I liked the thickness and richness of these pancakes however the whipped cream in between wasn’t what I expected. Still good, berries were fresh and sweet. The reason why I liked them was because it honestly wasn’t an overpowering sweetness.) Calamari-⭐️⭐️ (a bit too salty, for my taste. Maybe to someone else it might be great. I will say the calamari was crispy and it tasted like they were freshly made. The salad and dressing in there was very tasty. I gave it 2 for the saltiness really. Otherwise it’d be like a 3 or 4) Hummus-⭐️⭐️⭐️ (for the price, especially if you’re sharing, given the amount of hummus, the pita chips it comes with aren’t enough) Pork belly croissant-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (four stars mainly for the Pork belly because it very tender & delicious. Croissant kind of tasted store bought, not that there’s anything wrong with that but price wise for this dish I’d expect a higher quality croissant & kind of wished it would’ve been toasted a little. Croissant was a little dry not as buttery or flaky) Chicken panini- ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (30 minutes late, 3 stars for the chicken because it was juicy) Lobster Rolls-⭐️⭐️⭐️(Didn’t take a picture but my husband said they were alright) Chicken & Waffles-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Didn’t take a pic, this was a to-go order but my brother said it was delicious)

Drinks: Espresso-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Americano-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dragonfruit margarita-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Whiskey sour-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

All the drinks were great! 👍

Service: I didn’t catch our waitress’s name but she was very sweet 😊 However, The reason why I rated the service a 2 is because during our waiting time for our panini, a Hispanic woman with greenish eyes and reddish brown hair (she had it in a bun) whom was distributing the food was a tad bit rude. It didn’t really seem like she wanted to be bothered and the only reason why we said something to her was because our waitress hadn’t made it back to us. She could’ve been having a bad day, however, it was disappointing to have waited that long for a panini with fries, she did tell us it was coming but then it didn’t 😅 When it did arrive the way she had delivered it was like she couldn’t be bothered. We watched everyone that came after us get all their orders almost instantly. We had to end up taking it to go. It was our first time there & it was busy, but I would’ve thought maybe the other things we ordered would’ve taken longer than a sandwich with fries 😅

Atmosphere: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The place is absolutely aesthetically pleasing. Lives up to its name “Bloom” the wisteria hanging from the ceiling was absolutely stunning.

Overall: For a special occasion or brunch with your gal pals this is a great spot. The hype this place has is 💯 very instagram worthy ❤️ We did spend a pretty penny here since we ordered so much! However price range if you’re getting a drink, app and dish possibly...

I celebrated my birthday here …. It was my first time and the restaurant is very cute but cramped…. The presentation of the food is nice, but it was okay nothing spectacular - overpriced Loved the cocktails - they were beautiful and were well blended… This service was very bad.

I made my reservation online a month ago for 10 people and let them know we were celebrating my birthday.

I was disappointed to see a sign at the door that said tables have a 90 minutes max and must leave at the 90 minute mark. 90 minutes for a table of 11 people is not much time. You really need 2 hours for a large party…. What made it worse is that the service is really slow, disorganized and inefficient… 90 minute time limit is unreasonable if your staff is slow and inefficient…

We waited 30 minutes for a drink from the bar…. The food came out at different times… we have some people wait over 20 minutes longer for their food … so some people were watching other people eat…. As the hostess of my party, it made me uncomfortable that my guests didn’t get their food at the same time as the others… about 30 minutes into my reservation - I noticed there was prepping for another large table for a baby shower. the hostess of the baby shower arrived - few minutes later and started encroaching on my table of 11 people. They placed decorations banners - were coming In and out of the emergency door exit with gifts - it’s so cramped in there - they kept bumping into us… then they brought outside tables and set them up next to our table …. My guests couldn’t get up from the chair to go to the restroom without bumping into the outside tables. The encroachment was unbelievable…. I saw when the baby shower hostess spoke with the owner and pointed to our table - it was obvious she wanted us to leave so they could add another table…. Shortly after, the waitress came to tell us the owner had sent a message. She had all of the receipts in her hand. She told me our time was up - we only had the table for 90 minutes and we needed to leave. I was pretty upset given that the baby shower encroached on our space during my 90 minute reservation and the service was incredibly slow…. They were literally picking up plates and drinks as they were kicking us out of the restaurant. We didn’t even get a chance to order dessert for my birthday. They didn’t ask if we wanted anything else. The waitress just handed us the receipts. The waitress was very apologetic and looked embarrassed. The poor waitress was sent to do the owner’s dirty work. The owner just lost 11 women who will not return due to the terrible service. Everyone was a little shook They lost money because we weren’t allowed to order dessert or another round drinks …. We ended up going next door and ordered another round of drinks… I had high hopes for this restaurant- too bad - i don’t recommend this...

If you value your time and don’t want to be disrespected DO NOT GO HERE. We made a reservation for a party of 10 a month in advance for 1pm on Saturday. My party checked in and was told it would be 10/15 mins before we’re seated due to another party finishing up paying (there’s a 90 minute policy once you’re seated). We waited 45 minutes as we watched walk-ins check in and get seated right away. My friend who made the reservation asked to speak to the manager (Omar) several times and was treated rudely after abt the 3rd time, like he was annoyed that we kept wanting an ETA. He even walked away while she was still talking at least twice! The excuse they have was that the party we were waiting for to leave were deaf and there was a communication barrier. We understood but was confused on how their 90 minutes was up when we got there but they were still there even when they finally sat us an hour later. Once we were finally seated the rudeness and disrespect from Omar didn’t stopped there! My friend asked if there was a way we could be accommodated with maybe some fries or a mimosa for the wait and he scrunched up his face and said and I quote, “Free? You understand the position I’m in as a manager bt I guess I can see what I can do” huffed and walked off. Came back with champagne and then said “here’s a free bottle, happy? Now can we wipe this under the rug and let it go?” Very rudely and not in a joking way! I wish I could go over every rude and disrespectful comment he made! We called him out on it and he said he’s just being direct. At that point we decided we weren’t going to eat there but wanted to somewhere else before we left. We let him know that to not waste his time or the servers. After that all of a sudden he brought out 3 more bottles of champagne and said he had 2 charcuterie boards working for us and offered us each a salad (mind you he made a big deal about fries and 1 mimosa each). We again told him no thank you and decided to take our business to Whiskey Cake. We got sat immediately, the service was top tier as usual and the food and drinks was top notch! Go there instead it’s only 5mins away. The only reason we waited and put up with that was because we planned a tea party here for the aesthetic and we’re all dressed in tea party attire. My first two experiences wasn’t like this, but this establishment will NEVER see another hard earned...
