Review 2 of 3 I waited 2.5 weeks and had not heard anything. I called the jeweler and he asked for another half a week to get something in and to come in on Tuesday and he would have a diamond for me. The diamond that he had was of way less quality than the diamond that was currently in my ring. It looked yellow in comparison to the stones that were set in the halo. I told him this was unacceptable and the same quality diamond in the right shape needed to be put in my ring. However, he was unable or unwilling, I am not sure which, to get an oval diamond that was not going to cost me another $1,000. I will admit that I did not keep my composure throughout this conversation and I at times became unprofessional. For which I did immediately apologize and then proceeded to cry. I was overly emotional at this point and the whole process had taken away the happiness that being engaged and getting your engagement ring is supposed to provide. He said to leave the ring and give him a few more days and he would find another stone. I came back a few days later to another stone that was not of the quality I was expecting. This time in the setting. While it was in the setting I could clearly see where the previous diamond had put dents in the setting since it did not fit and was never meant to be there. I agreed that he could go down in diamond size to get the quality of diamond that I was looking for. He said to give him another week or so and he would make remake the setting and get a good diamond. That it would be ready the next Tuesday. I call the next Tuesday and he says it will be in Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday afternoon at the latest. He will call when it is in. I donāt hear anything. I call on Friday and he says that it just shipped on Thursday and he just got it. Again, how would it ever have been in on Tuesday. Again, I lost my composure and while never calling the jeweler names did say that this was BS. I got hung up on. I then proceeded to get chewed out by the jewelerās daughter saying that she didnāt appreciate how I talked to her father and I needed to calm down. Even though this whole process started by them deceiving us, continuously wasting my time coming to their shop, and repeatedly lying to me about when it would be ready. The owner did not inform me of what type of test he will do to the bracelet. After taking the bracelet back for a long time, he comes out and tells me his offer. Although as I looked at my bracelet, he took a chunk of it off. As if there was a hole on one side. Probably a few grams of gold gone. When I told him that ā what happened thereā the owner says ā it was for testing ā then he took it back again and just straightened it. You can still see the side been taken. As I was getting frustrated and the owner was explaining, his daughter comes out saying ā sorry you didnāt like this, itās the way we do it. Every one does it this way. You can leave now.ā I was disgusted with her attitude. And I didnāt even look at her. I walk out before she opens her rude mouth again. At least the owner himself was more friendly with a smile on his face. Seemed like a very inviting person. They did not even offer to pay the damage to my bracelet, even though it was a few grams. Everyone told me that the inside mechanism could not be fixed and they couldnāt order a new one to make it work. A couple of them said they could fix it but would cost $300-400. On a long shot I tried JB Jewelers. The owner was honest with me upfront and told me that he wasnāt super optimistic but would do everything he could to try. This was 3 weeks ago. I am exhilarated you say that not only did he get a new mechanism he also got it for $90. He had to make a couple of adjustments but it is working great. I am so thankful to his determination to help me out. My dad recently had a party to celebrate his life and I was able to wear it. Donāt go anywhere else! This is a honest and trustworthy owner.
