Customer service is top notch. We recently had our vehicle broken into in the Keg parking lot on a Thursday evening. The thieves took my husband's backpack, laptop, work phone, and more, but the worst part was that his wallet with all his collected Norstrom gift cards were inside. My husband hates to shop, and over the past few years, he's collected quite a stash of Nordy cards, much to my chagrin. He estimated that he had about $2000 in cards in his wallet.
Now, the $500 broken car window deductible, the $100 Swissgear backpack full of hundreds of dollars of accessories (like his Beats headphones, top-of-the-line juice packs for charging his phone/iPad/etc., his actual iPad, and Kindle), the work laptop, the brand new Samsung Galaxy phone issued by his employer, etc. -- none of these were of significant loss, because so much of this was replaceable. Costly, but replaceable. I mean, thank goodness, his employer even had a ghosted backup of his laptop, so he lost no data. We were victimized, but we refused to be victims.
Until.... my husband remembered later on that night that he had alllll those gift cards in his wallet. And he may as well have just knifed me in the back. TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS AT NORDY'S AND HE HADN'T TOLD ME ABOUT IT??!!? I didn't even know he had those cards! Insert grimace face here.
After I spent some time rocking back and forth and muttering to myself in a dark corner, I started making calls to try and figure out how to recover any of these cards. He said he thought he had 3-4 cards total. He had actually used one just the previous week at Nordstom Rack for a few pairs of jeans. So I called them, and spoke with manager Melissa, and along with some timeline and item information, she was able to find the transaction, pull the gift card number, drain the card before the criminals had a chance to, and assign $550 from that card onto a new one. Talk about customer service! She totally didn't have to help us. We didn't even have the receipt from that transaction because, derp, it was in the wallet that was stolen. And I know the other cards are just a total loss, but man, we were able to recover $550! This was after I had called Nordstom corporate and after I had called the Galleria (trying to track down the original purchase of the cards), with no luck.
Melissa was the bomb. Seriously. We took her cupcakes as a thank you. All retail stores should have the level of customer service...

Nordstrom Rack has been a fantastic shopping destination, especially for finding stylish outfits for my girls. The selection for women is impressive, with a wide range of brands and styles that make it easy to put together fashionable and high-quality looks. The layout of the store is well-organized, making it straightforward to navigate and locate items.
However, I did notice a significant gap in the variety of men’s clothing. The options for men are somewhat limited, which was disappointing as I was hoping to find more diverse choices especially having fathers day holiday weekend. It would greatly enhance the shopping experience if Nordstrom Rack could expand their men’s section to include a broader range of styles and brands.
On a positive note, the lines at checkout were quite manageable. There were plenty of cashiers available, which helped keep the wait time short. The fitting rooms deserve special mention as well—they are spacious and well-maintained, with enough attendants to assist customers efficiently.
One area for improvement would be the availability of staff on the floor. While the cashiers and fitting room attendants are excellent, having more associates available to help with questions or to locate items would be beneficial. Overall, Nordstrom Rack offers a great shopping experience, especially for women, and with a few tweaks, it could be...
Read moreWaited for 5 minutes in the order pick up line while the normal check out line piled up. No one spoke to me for those 5 minutes. I was ignored by all of the 5 cashiers standing there. Then a new cashier walked up, restocked bags, and asked for the next customer (at the cashier right next to the order pick up register). As she starts checking out another guest, she asks me if I’ve been helped yet. I say no, no one has helped me, and she said ok you will need to get in this line (the line that is now 10 people deep). I told her no way and walked out. I’ve already been standing there, waiting my turn, and now you want me to get behind other guests that got in line after me? BTW, my order is already paid for and all it takes to pick it up is to scan a barcode on my phone. It should have taken 30 seconds. Terrible customer service and I will never order another order for pick up at this store again. I needed to pick up a gift I ordered and now the recipient won’t receive the gift on his birthday because of this. Why have a separate order pick up line if you aren’t going...
