We wanted to give this new daycare a chance as we wanted another option close to home to be able to take our dogs! We needed to board our dogs due to our AC going out suddenly. From the beginning, we requested 2 of their larger kennels for our dogs as they do not board together yet. The gentleman working the back upgraded us to their suites at no charge. He also stated that we should receive 50% off the second dog even though they arenât boarding together this stay since that is the eventual goal. We were delighted by both of these and did not expect either. We were fully prepared to pay full price for their kennels for both until this was stated! When it came to paying the deposit, we were being overcharged by $50 and no one could explain why. It was agreed that we would pay the 50% deposit for one dog and the manager would figure out the issue in the morning. The only positive was the gentleman that would be taking care of our dogs. We finally received a call from them the next day. The total came back to the exact same overcharged price as it did the evening before. Madison explained that because the dogs were not sharing a crate we were not eligible for 50% off our second dog. Even without the discount promised the evening before, we were being overcharged. Madison finally explained to me that their estimate included an automatic $48 late pickup. After this call, I informed my husband who had further questions and so we called back. We spoke to Madison again and her version had now changed to âwe had misheardâ when they stated we would receive 50% off the second dog last night. She also lied about a phone conversation she had with the gentleman the evening before that we could overhear. She stated that he said we were requesting the 50% off when in fact he told her that he thinks we should get the 50% off as eventually they will board together. We expressed how we felt lied to and that she did not care. She said âI understand but thereâs nothing we can doâ I asked for an update on the dogs. This is where she states our puppy was moved to big dogs and she was doing great. This upset me greatly because I had already explained to them the evening before that she was already in large dog group at her regular daycare and she is too rowdy for small dogs. We finished the conversation unhappy all together with the lack of professionalism and customer service this place had. After talking with my husband, we decided we would go buy portable AC units and remove the dogs from their care. I called back to notify them we had other accommodations and I would be there to get the dogs around 5:30. When I walked in, I was met with the owner who after I requested my dogs started with stating she had heard how unsatisfied I was with their facilities. I stated yes, there was a lot of unprofessionalism. She asked how and I started to explain and she cut me off and stated âyou werenât overchargedâ before I could finish explaining the late checkout fee charge she interrupts me and states that I had cussed her daughter out on the phone. I was shocked by this statement and I said âexcuse me? I did no such thingâ her response was âyes you did, this is my daughter, and she would never lie.â She continued yelling at me after this aggressively and I asked how much I owed so I could leave. The daughter responded with yelling at me âI am trying to figure it out and you need to calm down.â My dogs were brought out to me at this point without their leashes, so I asked where they were. I finally hand them my CC to pay and she handed my card back to me and said âtake your dogs and leaveâ I stated I was trying but I didnât have their leashes. After finally getting my dogs leashed (which I mostly did) the owner walked past me and said âI hope you are treated the way you treat peopleâ I finally grabbed my dogs and left shaking. I was completely taken aback by this entire interaction and I have no idea where this came from. I love that the staff knows each and every canines name along with their character. Let me just tell you, we started our journey with K9 December 1, 2024, he started as a 6mth old puppy. My Labrador has taken a complete "180" after visiting consistently and being under the loving care of the Trainers. My dog has calmed down, stopped jumping on everyone and more amazing changes I noticed over time. I am so grateful how the staff loves and cares for my dog when I'm not there. I feel confident and reassured that he's in very capable hands. The fast and friendly, professional staffers are always attentive to my dog's behavior and will regularly give updates when i arrive at the end of the day. In addition, I love the Dog Camp activities during the summer which is an Add on to the already reasonable Daycare fees. I love the variety of Package options available and the posted calendar of events for the month to help plan our visits. Initially, we wanted to find a boarding facility with cameras so we could check on the dogs, but when I visited this place, I instantly fell in love. My brother had another boarding option in mind that offered cameras, but after visiting this place, they felt much more comfortable here.
This was our first time boarding our dogs, and it was for almost three weeks while the entire family went out of the country for my wedding. Unlike other boarding facilities we checked out, which only did a quick one-minute interaction to see how the dog behaved with others, K9 treated their evaluation like a full daycare session. It was amazing because it gave our dog more time to adjust and play with other dogs.
