Escobar Tailors — Local services in Pleasant Hill

Señor Escobar is the best in town. On my first visit, he greeted me warmly and chatted with me for a bit. After doing some quick measurements, he showed me 4-5 excellent options. I am picky with clothing fit so I narrowed it down to 1 option but still not perfect. He was patient with me and took time to think about how to tailor the jacket and pants. After a few alterations, the whole set fit beautifully. Señor even gave me a nice fabric cover free of charge.

Worth every $ spent. Exceptional quality formalwear. Nicest people in the business. Would highly recommend to family and friends. You won't regret visiting Escobar Tailors. Truly a gem in the East Bay.

My jaw is still on the floor.... I attempted to sew in a side zipper in my new motorcycle jacket with my ancient sewing experience and while it worked, It's pretty darn ugly and sketchy. So I looked up tailors in the area and and found Escobar's in Pleasant Hill. I was welcomed by the warm and friendly family staff. They were very conscientious about my jacket and wanted to make sure that there would be no damage to it from their work while attempting to fix my horrible work. Prices were more than fair for this level of expertise, the zipper looks so good, you can't tell the difference between their zipper and the manufacturers zippers, absolutely amazing. This is my new go to place for any tailoring or alterations from now on!!! Once again, Gacias...

You might expect price to reflect quality. That is not the case here.

I brought in two shirts and a pair of pants. The shirts were to be taken in with a couple of darts down the back and some minor adjustments to sleeve length. The pants just needed a few buttons sown in.

When I returned several weeks later to pick up the clothes, one shirt had a sizeable stain -- perhaps coffee or makeup -- on the back. It took another week, one month from the original drop-off, to get the cleaned shirt back.

In terms of performance, I wore the pants to a single evening dinner, and one of the buttons popped off after a mere 4 hours of wear.
