I hate to say it, but this hotel has become worse. We have stayed there a few times before, and previously, it has been quite comfortable, but this past trip was the worst, and they just renovated. To start, they started painting the building in December, and still havent finished, so no view out the window at all since the windows were covered. The phones in the room (clearly VoIP) were registered to a different room, and were unplugged (both of them were, so we didn't have phone service in the room), so even if they were plugged in, they would not reference our room to the front desk. Some of the building security doors were broken, so anyone could come in, and we had to one day when BOTH of our card keys were rejected when we tried to enter the building. we had to get the cards re-programmed at the front desk. our door lock wouldn't unlock from the outside half of the time. It would read the card, and go through the motions, but no matter how many times you turn the handle, it wouldn't open until you tried it 2 or 3 times. There were no batteries in one of the TV remotes. It really felt like they rushed the renovation, and didnt QC anything.
the one point though that has to be made is: THE BEDS WERE TRULY HORRIBLE!!!! and that cant be stressed enough. they were way too firm, and i think they are using a bonnell spring system. translated, the springs are all wired together, which means if my wife moves, i feel it, and this bed was such a low quality, it felt like an earthquack at night. and there was very little padding between the springs and the sleeper. this type of bed works great for about 1% of the general population. we only stayed 2 nights, and went home feeling very unrested, and possibly bruised from sleeping in this bed.
This used to be a good hotel. we have stayed here probably 3-4 times over the last few years, but i have to tell you, we wont be staying here again. the bed alone would have been the deal killer, but all of the other problems really sealed their fate in my mind. i would never suggest this...
Read moreI wish there were more stars on here that I could add so the google could reflect how much this Hyatt Place goes above and beyond for their guests. Here, we have felt welcome, safe, clean and more importantly comfortable at this home away from home. The front desk concierge is stellar and that of a 5 star hotel. *ADDITION AFTER WE HAD TO CHECK OUT We both had tears in our eyes as we checked out. Ee miss our Hyatt family. Cousin EJ, Hardeep, Anton, Marisol, Wendy, Beth, Vega, Alex, Delta, all of you, even Lance, the ither long termer, we miss you too. This Hyatt is our favorite place to stay. We love you☺️
So...The breakfast,THE Free breakfast, has fresh fruit, juices, milk, cereal, whipped cream, eggs, bacon or sausage and plenty of coffee to lift that fog. And DYI waffles, every day. The rooms are exceptional. Very comfortable and clean. As a person with allergies, I appreciate that there weren't weird strong fragrances used to clean. I was even able to request hypo-allergenic bedding instead of their wonderful feather pillows and down comforters. There's a refrigerator, a stove with 2 burners, a GE microwave/convection oven so you can roast or bake . There's even a dishwasher, a soup pot, 2 small pots, one with a lid, a cheese grater, can opener, knives, a colander big spoons, a spatula, forks and spoons, butter knives. There's also a laundry room, pool, hot tub, gym and dogwalk. So yes, I love this Hyatt! We have been here long term while our apartment gets remediated and I don't want to leave! Across the street there's a whole shopping plaza Ross, movie theater, restaurant s etc. The interstate is right past this property. Free parking. Stellar staff. Quiet rooms. Clean facility and respectful staff. I love my new Hyatt...
Read moreThis was a nice place to stay. We paid a reasonable price for a very nice suite over looking clean basketball court and swimming pool (wish I'd brought suit)other guests were using both:). The facility was clean inside and out (parking lot clean). Lobby was nice and clean as were the elevators and stairwell. Used stairs in lieu of elevator when we had to park on opposite side of location of our room(hence 4 stars instead of 5, no assigned parking) stairs closer than elevator. Bathroom was spacious with toiletries. Nice closet w/shelving unit with plenty of hangers & iron if needed. Updated shower with adjustable height shower head (nice if your tall) Kitchen stocked with everything needed glasses, plates, bowls cups (sorry, wasn't cooking but I'm sure pots pans were there) including bottle opener! Nice having separate room with tv w/remote to relax other than laying on bed. Bed was clean and comfortable. Though I think 2 pillows each needed more than the odd 3 we had (4 stars not 5) Husband worried because of reviews he had read stating area bad and that questionable people were hanging around. They're was a group of young people standing in the extremely full parking lot. Not sure if parking garage x the street over flow is using hotel lot but I wouldn't be surprised. Free parking almost impossible to find in bay area! Hotel might want to set up gate give access code to guests only? The surrounding area was very nice. Shopping, food, movie theater and cool looking bar located right across the street! Starbucks walking distance and Safeway for room snax :) Will stay again if down that way again. (sorry pix looked filtered camera has...
