I like to support locally owned businesses. I needed a buck converter. Super simple & small item, I can source these from Amazon, Ebay, adafruit. Even directly from China if I want for about $1.00 a piece some places even less. 1 single buck converter is $25 at this store!!! Thats not the cost of running a store front. Thats greed. Im happy to pay a markup so I can pick up my parts locally and get it faster than shipping. Paying $8-$10 for one at a store front is understandable. I'm paying for convenience at that point. Paying $25 for a PCB board the sice of a quarter is disgusting. And its not Tarrifs. If I can get super cheap prices for the same product online, so can a business. This is the 7th or 8th time. That i have needed something and sought out Radio Shack to source it. And everytime I walk away and buy it online because the markup are insane. Im done trying to give this store my business. Im gonna go spend $25 online and get 50 of these things shipped to my door.

Ive been in and out a dozen times looking for odd bits and pieces for projects, They always have had a way to solve my problem.

Some reviewers have complained about prices. Yes, convenience has a price and so does inventory. I am happy to pay a bit more for something I need today. This requires they have to keep an inventory in sock. The owner’s willingness to keep items in stock keeps me from having to buy 10 chips to one that I need.

They have even been able to fix the mechanical portions of older audio equipment.

As a final note, I appreciate the risk the owner takes; I always prefer to support...

I bought a packet of batteries for my car fob from here that were already dead. When my car fob still didn't work I took it to the dealership where they tested it and found the new battery was dead. They gave me a new battery and threw the dead battery away. I tried to return the battery pack to Radio Shack and explained my situation to the man at the counter, he would not return my $10 until I went and got the battery from the trash at the dealership. Terrible customer service over $10 worth of merchandise. I...
