When my 16 yr old Raymarine C120 finally died, I was faced with replacing the entire chartplotter/sounder/transducer/radar and associated wiring or trying to find a used/reconditioned C120 chartplotter. The techs at Raymarine recommended Max Marine Electronics. I approached this situation with hesitation because any used electronics can be iffy/disappointing. I wanted a vendor who I felt I could work with. I got a good feeling talking to the folks at Max and ordered the C120. It came promptly, packaged well and with a 'test' report. The results were as follows: the installation was easy and all functions (except screen brightness) worked perfectly. Although the screen looked ok in normal indoor viewing, when installed it was so dim that I could not read it in daylight. Max agreed to repair the problem if I returned the unit at my cost after the 2022 fishing season closed in a few weeks. During that time the unit became inoperable with a total screen blackout. Max agreed to not only repair, or more likely replace the unit, but they would also start a new 90 day warranty when the 2023 fishing season opened in April. I thought this was a very fair solution and showed they really stand by their products. I hope the replacement unit works as promised. Buying used electronics is understandably risky. But if the situation dictates it, I recommend Max Marine Electronics because of their realistic and honest dealing with me, and their excellent customer service. I will report again in April 2023 regarding the new unit. I expect my rating will increase to 5 stars...

My most Sincere Thanks to Max Marine Electronics for their incredible repair and service on our Raymarine C120 MFD. I called Raymarine however they didn't make or have an inventory of any parts for our 12 year old multi-function display, however they recommended I contact Max Marine Electronics. The people I spoke with at Max Marine were very helpful and knowledgeable however it's my nature to be a skeptic and I had doubts that the unit could be repaired at all. I was amazed at how quickly they returned our C120 and it looks incredible, it functions perfectly and even the polarized coating on the screen that had deteriorated so badly, looked perfect as well. I recently contacted Max Marine Electronics after my 20 year old Raymarine C120 wouldn’t come out of a repetitive boot cycle. I was planning to buy a refurbished one from them, but first decided to ask if they had any recommendations for how to get my current C120 back up and running.

They responded with a number of steps to try, including how to do a factory reset without the machine functioning properly. It worked!
