Very unhappy with the service I received at the store. I spent almost 2 1/2 hours in the store, on a Saturday picking out a couch and a recliner and was very specific that I wanted a leather couch in grey tones. After looking at numerous couches and checking to see if any of them came in the grey tones, I was finally told that a specific couch/recliner came in that color, so I paid for it and had it ordered. When the furniture was delivered, it was not grey tones, it was tan and brown marbled. I notified the store and was told that maybe that particular couch/chair did not come in grey. I told the sales person that I was specific in what I wanted and that we had looked it up. I was told that the furniture could be returned and I could come to the store and pick something else out that would be in the color that I wanted. I went to the store the next day, and could not find anything that came in the grey tones other than fabric couches/chairs. While I was downstairs, I saw a end table that I really liked and asked the sales person what the price of the table was. He told me that it was a $400 end table but because it had been returned and they wanted to get rid of it, he would sell it for $219. I also ordered a carpet remnant for my daughter's home and was specific that I wanted it bound with padding because it would be on a hardwood floor. I went into the store a couple of days later to pick up the end table and as the sales persons were loading it into my SUV, one of the legs chipped on it. One sales person stated that they could "glue it and touch it up". The other sales person said that maybe they should just switch out the leg with the other end table downstairs that matched it, and they did. The end table top was wrapped in padding for transport and when I got it home and took the wrapping off, it had chips all over the rim of the end table and the end table was made of some sort of plastic/foam material. I called the store the next day to tell them about it and told them that I would be bringing it back to them and the sales person was alright with that. My carpet remnant was supposed to be done that same day and I was told that it would not be ready until the next day. So, I called the store the next day to see if my carpet was ready and it was. I went to pick up the remnant and there was no padding on it as I had ordered. When I questioned where the padding was, the sales person asked me if I ordered padding for it and I told him that I had and had paid for it as well. I also told him that I asked that the carpet and padding be bound because it was going on a hardwood floor. He told met that it didn't matter, the carpet would have a pad underneath it and that it did not have to be bound. He went inside to find the padding and came back out and told me that he would have to go to the warehouse to get some padding and cut it to fit my carpet, which he did , but he did not seem to be very happy about having to stay after 6:00pm to do it. I was planning on spending more money there in the future as I remodel my home but after this, I will probably be shopping elsewhere. The company that I work for also spends a lot of money there buying furniture for their homes and we will probably be shopping somewhere...
Read moreI have so many good things to say about Wright's Furniture in Pontiac! Your customer service and furniture are Top Notch! I began a professional journey with Wright's as a Library Director about 1.5 years ago. Cindy has been thorough, professional, accommodating, and willing to respond to questions even when she has time off! She goes above and beyond! Besides helping to select the carpet with our committee, Cindy also gave our remodeling committee a full tour of the store to show us us available furniture. She had recommendations for us, but she also allowed us to discuss details amongst ourselves. Kenny laid the carpeting in our library in early April this year. He was courteous and worked very hard to get the job done well and efficiently. We have had many compliments on how nice the carpet looks! Tanner and David delivered our 2 new reading chairs. they were perfect gentleman, showed lovely manners and put the furniture in "just the right spot". Wright's even sent Tanner back to bring us a complimentary bottle of stain remover. Many people have enjoyed sitting on these pieces and have mentioned that they value the fine quality of them. Over Thanksgiving weekend, I began a personal relationship with Wright's when my husband and I walked in to look at sofas and sectionals. Tanner greeted us in a friendly way at the end of Black Friday, very close to closing time. He was professional and very knowledgeable about the pieces we chose to try out. Tanner went the extra mile by staying overtime to make sure we had time to consider our favorite pieces. The next day, we arranged to purchase our favorite sectional. He was able to coordinate a discount with the owner, as well. This was all very appreciated. David and Tanner came to our house less than 72 hours after we saw the sectional to deliver it. They were focused on their task and very kind. We have been enjoying our new furniture. It is firm, yet very comfortable. It's roomy, which helps with 3 tall men in the house. Thanks you to the Wright's Family for being a bright spot in my life these past 1.5 years both at home...
Read moreExtremely friendly sales associate Cindy and installer Kenny go above and beyond on initial sales services. As much as I like these individuals, it is however, a small town your kind midwest demeanor only gets you so far when things dont go as you plan. If you view my photos you'll see the undercutting of door jams was poorly executed. I informed Wrights that I had spent $2500 preserving this trim of this old, sentimental house just weeks pior to the install and it was damaged in the undercutting. Installer did say, "save this piece, I'll come back and glue it in. He made several more mistakes on the trim the next few days that werent addressed. I then waited 3 weeks for the installation to be complete with the missing pieces from my order that didnt come in with the floor and he never repaired my pieced as stated. I spoke to Wrights, and after $5500 spent, the official response was, "I checked into this and our installers don't do painting or touch ups since they are not trained for that. Wood trims getting damaged are something that can not be predicted when doing a job like yours as most undercutting doesn't cause any issues but there are some that do. Unfortunately that cannot be predicted and we usually suggest that the painter come in after the floor is done just in case but I know most painters want to paint first.
I'm sorry I was unable to help you with this."
After floor install, (ceiling, walls, trim, floors) naturally, the top to bottom process, the furniture next. I went in looking for a couch at Wrights but honestly I had the realization of why would I trust them again when they dont stand behind their work? I bought from Fairbury Furniture and won't go...
