Debating on whether or not you should buy furniture from American Freight Newport News ? Well DON'T ! I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Terrible customer service ! They are very unorganized, nonchalant and not compassionate about their customer service. They put on a great act to rob you out of your money but as soon as you have an issue, they don't care .. Your issue isn't as important as the next . Your better off buying funiture from somewhere else .
With that being said, I had rented out a U-haul cargo van about 2 months ago to pick up my furniture. They gave me the wrong dresser so I had called the MOD to request a free delivery so they could swap out the 2 dressers. The MOD said he would give me a call back because he would have to contact the Manager for the deliveries to grant him permission for the free delivery, but never heard from him . I then decided to give him a call back, but this time I had spoke with an associate. The associate &the MOD were speaking (I could hear the Manager in the background) and the associate informed me that the free delivery was granted &that they'll have to drop off my furniture the following day but to give them a call back in the Morning around 11:30 AM.
I did exactly that and informed the other MOD (which was a female) that I had a free delivery that day and she was clueless. The associate and Manager I had spoken with did not notate that I had a free delivery that day. So the MOD said she would give me a call back around 1:30 PM when the delivery driver's came in. I never got that call back so I took the initiative and called back but I was speaking to an associate who said that the MOD was to busy to speak with me but that he would notate my issue and inform the MOD and that she will give me a call back. She never called back.
My issue still hasn't been resolved and it is an ongoing issue for me. I still have the wrong dress in my home. It is not my fault that an associate gave me the wrong dresser. It's their fault and they need to resolve it by giving me a free...

I’ve been 3 times this month to browse for new furniture and every time I have came here it’s different people working and they do not seem people friendly. I like that they don’t follow you around like other furniture store employees would, but they don’t even acknowledge that you’re in the store nor was I asked if I needed help the 3 times I went in. I went today to buy the set I wanted (had to go in store because the item I wanted was online but not in stock at their location) after patiently waiting about 20 minutes for her to finish up with the customer in front of me I was finally acknowledged and asked if I needed help with anything. The lady (Hispanic woman) was super sweet/nice and I kinda felt bad for her because she was the only one working in the front trying to deal with customers and phone calls plus whatever else employees have to do there. Oh I’ve also called a couple times too within this month once a man answered and the 2nd time was a woman, both rude and unprofessional. The guy wouldn’t even talk he mumbled like I was a bother or waste of his time or phone call. Honestly did not want to purchase and give this store my money but the prices are great especially for younger people like myself who are just starting out and needing something nice but not too highly priced. Obviously something wrong with the management or the people that are being hired. Get someone who wants to work, who’s people friendly, and helpful.. I am contacting you about my delivery status. I had investing in my furniture last night 6 December 18 and the sales person was Todd. He had assured me that my furniture would be delivered today ( 07 December 18) this afternoon after 2 pm. I had explained to him about my schedule and he had assured me that the delivery was going to be made. None the less, his assurance wasn’t made.
I had called the store and talked to a guy named Vincent and he had told me that in the system that my delivery was in there as a pickup. I then proceeded in telling him that I was supposed to be for delivery. He then stated that he would change it. Still no contact as to when the delivery would show up.
I had called to the store once again and Jason had answered the phone. I had told him that I wanted to talk to Todd. The one that I had initially talked to last night and it seemed that everything was a joke. Totally dismissed what we had spoken about and what he had stated that he had put into the computer about my delivery. Todd and then gave the phone to Vincent which he had stated that he was the assistant manager. Vincent had said that he would contact the finance department and take 100 dollars off due the inconvenience.
