I wanted to buy a Christmas gift for my wife and I went to the mall as I usually do this time of year. I was surprised that the major jewelry chain stores I usually deal with were gone. I walked into AJ Jewelers and was met with greetings by all three men working there. I said I was hoping to find a pretty ring for my wife. The man walked me over to the counter and inquired about her taste in items. He brought out several rings and one particular one caught my eye. When I asked the price I feared it was going to be out of my range this year. Hurricane Ian, Property Taxes, Home Owners Insurance and Automobile Insurance really hit me harder than expected this time. I'm sure all of you have been treated unfairly too by these companies. When the salesman told me the price my heart broke. I told him I guess I was going to have to go a different route and maybe just buy her some clothes this year. When I said that, another man came over and asked what price range I could do. I gave him a number and he said give me a moment. He went to his calculator and did some magic. He said if I could reach just a bit higher than the upper limit I gave him he would be able to sell it for X amount. I have purchased a lot of jewelry over the decades and I knew the price he stated was more than fair. My wife is going to love this ring and AJ Jewelers made it possible....

When I pointed out that you selling this 10k Gold for a too high value the representative response was ā I donāt care, they sell it to use for a price then we have to tell it for a priceā⦠My family owns a golden/diamond store in Orlando but the drive was too far for me.
Some advice if you want to retain clients, Instead of trying to make a quick sale and lingering by the door like vultures, trying to get people to come inside, stop overcharging them so they can come back. If you were generous and had better customer service skills like the woman who works in your store, then you would have more customers come to you.
People flock to jewelry, but your store is always empty. Ask yourself why!
