We had purchased a dress shirt from this location on Thursday, to wear on a birthday dinner on Sunday night. The shirt was in the plastic, in the closet til Sunday night. While we were getting ready we noticed the cuff was ripped, but when tucked in it wasn't super noticeable and we had a reservation to meet so we wore it to dinner with the intentions to exchange it the next day. Today we went to this location to do so, and the customer service manager for the area was adamant that it was not on the floor that way and that they could not accept it back. They put the shirt in a bag for us and the conversation ended there. I went back in with the shirt as I didn't believe that a store like Dillards would operate this way, and I was aware of the return policy being within 30days. I spoke to the same person, the manager and she told me the same thing- so I requested the store manager. She told me she tried to page him but he didn't respond, when I asked for his info she said she didn't have it and I had to ask who did. I was directed to customer service, when I asked where that was in the store the manager said "oh you haven't shopped here before? What a shame." And I explained that I had not come in myself that my partner wouldn't have left with a damaged shirt if I did. At customer service I requested the info and the employee asked what was wrong, and that Max was here and she can try to get him for me. I explained it all again and she went and got him.. he came out and told me the same things, refused to come to a solution and implied again that we were lying and that is was a high quality product.. I had to leave as it was evident that there was no one here who would like to come up with a solution. I am frustrated for various reasons, it was implied that we are not "good enough" to shop here, that we were lying about the shirt and that it was a nuisance that we were even trying to get a solution. This was our go to for dress attire and scents- but I will never come here again and will being telling everyone I can about this interaction as no one should be...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at the Dillard's perfume section recently that left me feeling both uncomfortable and unwelcome. An employee, a tall blonde woman, followed me closely around the area as I browsed the perfumes. Her behavior was extremely intrusive; she stood right behind me while I was trying to smell different scents, which made it very difficult to enjoy my shopping experience. What made this situation even more frustrating was the fact that she did not exhibit the same behavior towards my white girlfriend, who was shopping with me at the time. It was clear that she was giving my girlfriend space to browse freely, while I was being singled out and watched closely. As a black customer, this felt like a clear case of racial profiling, which is both offensive and unacceptable. I tried to ignore her and continue shopping, but her constant presence made it impossible to relax and enjoy myself. Shopping for perfume is supposed to be a pleasant and personal experience, but this employee’s actions turned it into a stressful ordeal. To make matters worse, after this incident, I checked online and found that I am not the only one who has had a negative experience with this particular employee. Numerous reviews mention similar behavior, where she follows customers around and makes them feel uncomfortable. This recurring issue indicates a serious problem that Dillard's management needs to address immediately. I hope Dillard's management takes this complaint seriously and investigates this employee's conduct. It is essential to provide better training and supervision to ensure that all customers are treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their race. No one should have to experience this kind of discrimination while simply trying to shop. I left the store feeling deeply dissatisfied and disheartened by the treatment I received. I urge Dillard's to take prompt action to rectify this situation and create a more welcoming environment for...
Read moreMy daughter bought a dress to wear to air 2A prompt type thing but not actually the problem last year. Shetook the tags off But put them back into the garment bag as she did not even wear it. She tried to take it back the next day and the ladies in there were very rude to her and told her that she wore it to prom and that she's just trying to wear something and get her money back. Well she graduated high school 2 years ago so she wasn't trying to wear it to prom. It was just a thing for church with the youth group that she was going to wear it to. She didn't feel that it fit her perfectly and needed to take it back. Well I happen to be in the area and saw the ladies bring the dress over to the area that I was in which was not near my daughter anymore. I heard them Talking about some girl that is trying to be dishonest and take a dress back that she wore to prom clearly. Even though they never saw her wearing it to prom. I dont know how it was do clear to them. The dress had some beads coming off of it when she 1st bought it and she didn't notice until she got at home so it wasn't the best quality for the price that she paid which was $350. They clearly did not believe her and were talking about it while I was in the area but they did not know I was her mother. My daughter is in her twenties and so I figured that she could handle this I went outside and she came back to the vehicle and told me that they refused to take it back because they told her she was a liar. We are now currently trying to sell it online to try to get a little bit of our money back as these rude people at Dillard's refuse to give my daughter her money back less than 24 hours after she purchased a dress that wasn't up to par for quality and did not fit her and she had the tags with her and her receipt. But they accused her of being a liar and saying she went to her prom and then was trying to return the dress. While she graduated a couple years before so she did not...
