We usually enjoy coming to this particular establishment, however tonight's service was beyond horrible and I will make sure to never recommend this particular Outbacks again. We were informed that we had a 1 hour and 30 minute wait when we put our names on the waiting list. Having been a holiday (Valentines Day) I understood but wasn't happy with such a long wait. However, that is not what transpired and we were mistreated by staff. We had a party of 8 people made up of three adults and five small kids and specified we would be fine with taking first seats available wether it be outside or inside. When the 1 hour and 30 minute time had expired I calmly walked up to young girl by the hostess stand and informed her we had been waiting our time and was needing an update. I wasnt rude or pushy, in fact I was empathetic about the staff having to deal with so many people. Her demeanor at first was kind and even though slightly cold. I polity acknowledged it and went back outside to sit with my family. Waited another 20 or so minutes and we sat there watching countless people being seated and never our name. Families after families and numerous couples entered the restaurant and we were never checked on or called upon. I kept getting up and walking in and asking why we're not seated yet and how much longer could it possibly take? Only to be greeted with the same answer and annoyed demeanor of the staff. I really regret not getting the young ladies names so that I could be more specific, but they worked up front at the door from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Finally we had wasted enough of our night and I was very upset with the disrespect I had been receiving from the staff and the constant oversight of ignoring my family. The staff would come out and nearly whisper people's names as they were called hopping they wouldn't be heard. We had waited in total of nearly 2 hours and 40 minutes before receiving a text that our table was ready. By that time we had already left and had no choice but to go to a local burger restaurant. I will gladly drive across town to any other Outback before ever stepping foot on this...
Read moreVery disappointed in our table.....I stopped in last Monday and made a reservation for 8 of us......we have a "Girls Night" once a month and pick a different restaurant every month. I picked out a round table in the lounge because we don't like to be at a long table where we can't talk to each other.......the hostess ( don't remember her name) assured me that we would have the round table at 5:30 on Wednesday. . We arrived at 5:15 and immediately saw that our table was occupied and they had just received appetizers. The hostess informed me that they don't take reservations and it is only a "call ahead" to inform them of our arrival...!!!! I commented that maybe their staff should be informed of the fact that they don't take reservations and she basically dismissed me and said if I wanted two tables pushed together they could seat us right away...otherwise we could wait 45 mins for the round table ( the one we originally reserved).!!! At this point I have 7 of my closest friends wondering what the heck happened to our reservation? I was beyond embarrassed and wish that the hostess had conveyed our displeasure to management, but of course they were packed and probably could care less whether we come back or not. Well not to worry....we won't. I have been in the restaurant business for 33 years, as a server, manager and finally an owner. Communication should have been first and foremost.....do you or do you not take reservations? Then when there is a issue with a dissatisfied guest, it should have been conveyed to the manager......but it wasn't.
Now......the food was very good and our server Alexis was very attentive and had no clue of the issue......at this point I didn't want to bombard her......she didn't create the problem. We wanted to sit in the lounge area mainly because we didn't want to be in the main dining room with children and crying babies.... (which were abundant) We are all from 50 to 65 years old and have raised our kids and wanted some adult time.... So...
