My husband went and bought three counts of meat that were seasoned already and they charged him $40 us worth of meat. My husband was in a rush because we had family over and it was later in the afternoon therefore he paid for it when he got home looked at his receipt he realized that they had ripped him off. We went back to the store to talk to them about the receipt and spoke to the owner the owner was shocked pricing, we will never go back to there again as that is a complete rip-off they showed us by the front counter the unseasoned meat was $5 a pound therefore because they seasoned it a little bit they charge us $8 extra per poundat the fact that they charge us almost $14 per pound for 3 lb of meat. She was in a rush though so she had to go back to the restaurant section, and she asked the people in the meat section 2 talk to us that's when they explain to us that they that in fact was the correct pricing $13 per pound. They as we were shocked about because that is a complete rip off. They should not be selling people 13 to $14 per pound of steak very thin steak. My husband wanted to go there to support a local business but in the end ended up being ripped off. They also sold him to pieces of of onions and that added up to $50 overall he paid $50 for three pieces of onions and00 3...
Read moreThis is a very good place to buy Mexican food. The ingredients are fresh and 100% authentic. There's not many places like this, most of the restaurants would replace the ingredients for something more affordable and local, but in La bonita they really stick to original.
If you like lots of flavor, but not spicy food, then try the barbacoa (beef) , carnitas (pork) and lengua (beef tongue) tacos. I would say those are the top 3 options. They also have authentic tamales, menudo and food by the pound on weekends (carnitas and barbacoa). If you want to try the tamales you should be there early (like 9 am early the latest) because they get sold out very early.
They also have a small meat market, grosery store, fresh veggies, fresh tortillas (the authentic ones, not only the pre-packaged).
This is not a big fancy place, just the opposite. But trust me on this one, it's really good!
So in short words, you have to...

My boyfriend bought them while in a rush but after leaving we realized we’ve...
