I had a great time at this cute brewery tucked in SE Portland. I tried the cask ale, which is a traditional English way of pouring beer, and love the buttery, smooth mouthfeel. It’s a great departure from the typical PNW IPAs! I had seen photos of food in reviews so was hoping for a food menu, but there isn’t a food menu. You can bring your own food, and there are plenty of food carts to get food at.

What a charming, cool brewery! We visited on a warm afternoon and the summer ale hit the spot. Friends also enjoyed the flight, and picked up some Away Days merch. There is inside (open air) seating, as well as outdoor tables. Very friendly staff, and whimsical branding throughout. Definitely will recommend to others visiting Portland!

Away Days is one of my favorite breweries in PDX! They brew all sorts of different styles. From IPA’s to stouts to cask ales. They do it all, and they do it very well! Home and Away IPA and Sheedy’s Irish Stout are two of my favorites. And make sure to check out Thursday Night Run club. 5k that starts and ends at Away Days at 6:30 pm.

Came for the cask ale event, although I have been here previously and always had a good time.

Excellent brewery, small but strong, creating a wide variety of appealing ales.

The beers are true to style, highlighting the well selected malted barley as well as the responsibly used hops.

The food is equivalent to a better and well-sorted English pub, if the Horse Brass is your standard then Away Days and their sister restaurant Toffee club will blow your mind. There is no comparison.

Furthermore the staff are excellent, the location is clean, safe, and convenient and they really fill a hole in the neighborhood left by the closing of The Commons, not because the beer is similar but because of the positive effect on the...

Shrieking children and babies (at a brewery), people yelling and talking as loudly as they possibly can, tables and chairs on the sidewalk blocking someone in a wheelchair from being able to safely be on the sidewalk. Bad pop music DJ sets on the loud speakers. This is a residential neighborhood. Y’all come on…you’ve got people living RIGHT next door. It used to be really nice to have the windows open to catch a breeze or maybe even sit outside in our backyards…now we have to her every single detail of drunk people’s so very interesting conversations....

They provide a needed service in Portland, namely, beer on cask! Owned by the Toffee Club neighbors next door, it is especially awesome to see a brewery offering cask ales. They also have plenty of traditional carbonated beers available on tap, most brewed by them (and with fun British puns), but the highlight for me were the two cask offerings they had. It's an extra good option to watch a Timbers match, or just to grab a beer before heading next door for other football matches or even as a pregame for a match at...
