Wow. Just, wow...
First of all, Nick (owner and current sole barista) is flipping amazing. He greets you with the best energy and can get you to laugh within seconds.
Secondly, you cannot find a more perfect espresso anywhere else. I haven't been to a ton around here but I already don't need to and will want to come here anytime I'm near dt Portland. He has every shot dialed in PERFECTLY and does it so quickly I don't know how it's possible. I can confidently say that I had the best espresso of my life in this very location.
Nick really knows his stuff. He sources beans internationally from renowned roasters, including the Netherlands and Denmark, each with their special nuances and "extraction style" (e.g. turbo shot with Sweet Valley beans, or 6-month wait for the Novo Horizante)
On top of it all, he has pastries from a nearby bakery, Farina, which we tried and loved! We got the everything gallette. Imagine an everything bagel w/ cream cheese had a baby with a croissant.

Very impressive! It's great to see more activity coming to...
Read moreThis cute little spot is very hip (in the black metal seating and minimalism decor sort of way), very cute. I got the famed marionberry poptart which lived up to the hype. I got a season pistachio drink that ended up being a little too sweet for my taste (I was told it was slightly sweet but was surprised when it was full blown). Latte art was beautiful. The barista was wonderfully helpful and gave a full rundown of the offerings. This is not a work in a coffee shop sort of cafe. The tables are small yet cute. Better to plan for a...
