EDIT 10/06/25:
I spoke to Joyce (a manager? Owner?) who was calling us liars that they never picked up our oven due to roaches being in it and that the drivers left it with us. This is a lie, I had contractors there the day they came to deliver the oven we purchase from them and remove our old one. I saw it go into the truck.
I am glad that they lied about this first before telling me that there’s nothing they can do because our oven had roaches in it when they took it, because I might have believed them and doubted that they were only in the new one. But it’s not true, as you can see in the photos roaches were in the manual old and dead.
They also said they tried reaching out before but I have no voice mails, she also said that the drivers that picked up our oven don’t work there anymore and she’s going off of notes.
She said that they take the appliances they remove from homes to scrap yards and therefore we wouldn’t get ours back, therefore again lying that they “didn’t remove our old oven”. I’m shocked and appalled, I really thought they would be kind and understanding but it was the exact opposite.
We have local realtor friends who we’ve reached out to who said they also have heard poor experiences from Kaady Appliances, and after updating them on what just happened to us via our phone call with Joyce they will be actively telling all their co workers to not recommend or support them.
Please be careful when shopping here and have them check appliances before you agree to purchase them. In my original review I even knew it was ultimately just bad luck this happened but they were rude and lying about things.
Our contractors and electricians that were there that day also now know and will be warning their co workers, and customers about Kaady.
Now we have to spend even more money on a replacement and deal with pest control fixing this problem.
Original review:
While the pricing and efficiency of the transaction was great, we unluckily had roaches in our appliance, they came from inside when the stovetop and oven were on at the same time for the first time. When we looked at the manual attached to the back of the oven there were dead roaches in between the pages. (See photos).
I feel as though they would/should have noticed when they acquired the oven in the first place and perhaps we should have asked to look over the whole appliance before we purchased from the showroom floor. Lesson learned. After panicking and and going into pest control mode, I called Kaady Appliances and spoke to the woman who sold us the stove, she was not empathetic or helpful in anyway, she said she would have her employees review the documentation of when our old stove was taken away if “there were any reports of cockroaches from the old stove” and if that were the case it’s our issue. I never got a follow up, I called again but no response. Completely ghosted. Our realtor had recommend them based on their personal experience and while it was likely just ultimately bad luck for us that our appliance we purchased was in this condition, they agreed that the service was not okay and they will no longer be recommending this place to any of their clients and will share what happened to us.
So thank you Kaady Appliances, we thought you were great and that we had a good experience at first.
I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else. Please completely check the appliance you’re buying, the back...
Read moreIt was just time. We had moved into a place where all the appliances came with the house. The previous owners spared all expenses in their choice of appliances. They were all from the 70s.. maybe early 80s. They not only lacked aesthetic value but they were functionally challenged as well. We needed an oven, a dishwasher, a refrigerator, and a dryer. Several months ago our washing machine went out and one of my girlfriend's co-workers suggested Kaady's Appliances. She picked one up for under $150 that worked perfectly. She suggested we there first to look for all the other appliances that we needed.
We walk in the door and before being swarmed on, we are able to look around in peace. Once we are greeted, it's by George Kaady. He's friendly and seemingly apologetic that it's his job to sell things to us. As we begin to hone in on the appliances that we like, he begins to tell us what deals he can make for us if we buy all the appliances that we need there. He's not pushy. He's more than willing to let us set a budget and figure out what he can do within that budget. He is willing to let us walk away and shop around. We didn't feel pressured at all. WE picked matching appliances... all the same brand. George gave us an exceptional deal. For a newer model side-by-side refrigerator with ice makes and water dispenser, a newer model electric range top/oven, and a newer model dishwasher we paid just slightly over $800 delivered and installed. Obviously these are used items and your price will vary depending on what you get, etc. But we felt like we got a very good deal. The only thing that could have gone better during the sales cycle is if we would have been able to deal with George throughout that cycle. I guess he's not there as much and I hate to make the guy busier... but if you can - ask for George.
From my perspective, after money exchanged hands is where these guys really excelled. We scheduled a delivery for a time that worked for us. The delivery guys came a little early and they worked their asses off to make sure that the job was done well. 2 very friendly and hard-working guys spent 3 hours a piece getting all of our old appliances out of there and the new appliances in. They did everything they had to leave our house looking like those appliances were always there. I didn't have any cash on me but I definitely would have tipped them each had I. Kaady's should come up with a way to leave these guys a tip. The sales people obviously make commission off of their sales... but don't work as hard as the installation crew. Maybe it's like restaurants and some of that commission gets spread around??
We were missing a couple of trays and the plastic butter cover from the refrigerator that were definitely there when we looked at it in the showroom. It took us about a week and a few phone calls to get one tray and the cover. No word on what happened to the other trays. I have a feeling that if I pressed, they would figure out how to get the other tray.
Anyway.. the overall experience was great at Kaady's. I would recommend that you go to them if you have a little budget for appliances needing to be replaced. They have good customer service skills. They are willing to make deals. Their delivery guys are...

Purchased a nice used refrigerator from the Tigard store on Thursday (12/3) with a 6 month warranty on parts and labor. It was delivered and installed as planned on Saturday (12/5). Delivery guys were nice and professional getting a large fridge through some tight gaps. Unfortunately after it was installed, 24 hours later it still has not cooled appropriately (thermometer says 65 degrees). I know the fans and compressor are running and the condenser coils are free of dust build up. Called Tigard store on Sunday (12/6) to request service technician. Service technician (Robert) returned call Monday (12/7) am to set up appointment for Thursday (12/10) around noon, earliest available for my area.
UPDATE 12/10 - Robert arrived as planned around noon on Thursday. He checked out the fridge and the freon was to low. He recharged the freon and it started to blow cold. Within the hour the fridge was at the correct temp. The freezer got down to temp a couple of hours later. As long as there isn't a leak in the system it should be good to go for a while. Got 6 month warranty to wait it out.
UPDATE 12/12 - water started dripping out of the ice/water dispenser. Turns out the ice is melting and the freezer isn't cold anymore, holding about 50 degrees. Called JB (manager) at the Tigard store about possibly returning and exchanging it. He's going to talk to Robert about the fridge and get back to me.
UPDATE 12/17 - so I've called the Tigard store on Monday and Tuesday to follow up since they weren't calling me back. JB said he needed to get in touch with the owners to see what he could do. Apparently the owners are very difficult to get a hold of. On Tuesday JB suggested I call the Portland store since doing an exchange would be difficult, not to mention I don't trust the products that they are selling. Called Portland store Wednesday and Thursday morning. They kept wanting to send the repair guy out, not understanding that we've already gone that route and the fridge still doesn't work. Left a message for George to call back. Last chance... ...(near the end of the day) still no call from George. Called Abe at the Portland store back. Had to give him the same story I did earlier I the day. Told him that I needed to talk to someone who can actually refund me my money. Abe still jerking me around until I mentioned taking this next level. Apparently they may be able to do a refund and pick up the...
