I would consider Bridge City Taproom a dive/sports bar, with big screen TVs everywhere and plenty of booze. It can be pretty dark inside, even with the lights on.
The staff are friendly. Our server was very funny and more than willing to joke around with our table. I think they were the only server because as it got busy we saw them less and less.
The drinks on tap were pretty extensive which was awesome. Lots of local breweries available. I had Backwoods Lager and Tieton cider.
Happy hour menu was ok, but everything we had needed salt-fries, tots, mac n cheese, etc. The aioli was not good and tasted kind of sour or that it had gone bad. Other sauces are made with this aioli too, which made them taste weird. My friend got the tacos which looked tasty. Overall not the greatest food.
I would return for drinks and the fun staff, but would grab food elsewhere. I have heard their cakes are good, so I might try...
Read moreI love Bridge City. I frequent there a lot. The food is always delicious and custermer service is usually top notch. Except this one afternoon I stopped by after work and played video poker, well while at the machine I was approached by a waitress and was asked about my ID. So as I was leaving she waited until I walked out of the poker area to the bar and in front of a bar full of people she's like "you need to get out of my bar! We don't want people like you in here!" She deliberately tried humiliating me. It felt like it made her feel bigger to make me look small. Other than that I and many of my coworkers at Cultivate Initiatives frequent...

My group of friends left for our hash run and I just left without paying for my one beer. After the run we go back and I apologized for leaving without paying. They I don't even remember the one beer and were so sweet again. Left them a nice tip and went home. Note to self: if it is really busy there leave the dog at home. Many other places I go my dog doesn't have that issue but this is a pretty big place. Didn't get to try their food but the place...
