My experience with LookModern has been exceptional on multiple fronts: customer service, knowledge of product, investment in the pieces they sell from sale to set up in your home, and caliber of the pieces they have for sale.

I walked into LookModern at the end of my furniture-hunting day and was absolutely stunned--the store is practically like a museum. Everything is well labeled with its pedigree information (and clearly priced). The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. I bought two items from them--one that I took on the day of purchase (they helped me load the car, lent me blankets to keep everything safe, and even helped me carefully deconstruct another piece of furniture that I had in the car at the time). When they delivered my desk 4 days later, they were so friendly, extremely careful, and detail oriented (they made an adjustment on the spot to ensure that everything worked perfectly). I am beyond impressed with the level of care they've offered, and I have to say that the pieces I bought from them are PERFECT. I've been hunting for a desk and a display cabinet for around a year, and it only took me one visit to this shop to find exactly what I needed. Every single piece in this shop is in excellent condition because they carefully source and refurbish.

Look Modern is my favorite place to shop for—and daydream about—mid-century furniture and accessories. We love the two George Nelson for Herman Miller walnut dressers we purchased there recently. Look Modern has the most carefully curated showroom in Portland and presents only the highest quality inventory of stunning pieces from prominent Danish and Scandinavian designers. Look Modern is one of the very best places - anywhere perhaps - to buy mid-century modern Danish furniture. I bought a dining table, chairs and a side table years ago and they have lasted even though they were vintage to begin with. You can be sure what you're buying is of good quality. When I was there today looking for more dining room chairs, the owners didn't have what I wanted but instead of trying to sell me something else, they told me they knew exact chairs I wanted were at their competitors on Hawthorne.
