Food~Delicious! Absolute Fire Birra Tacos! I decided I wanted Birra Taco’s today and, after reading so many different reviews I decided to go with Birriera PDX! My first order 5 piping hot Birra Tacos w/ so much flavor and, steamed tortillas, Consommé (was piping hot diced onions, cilantro, seasoned very well, it was thin consistency but, I felt it paired very well) and a Pepino (the most refreshing cucumber drink)!
Service~Great! I was greeted immediately w/ smile and, it was few people behind me in line and, a few waiting. I let the owner know I haven’t been here before he didn’t rush me but, asked “what I liked”. I told him “I wanted the birra tacos” he said “it’s a special today” w/ it being it’s Taco Tuesday!!! I said I’ll take 5 to go. I asked him about the drinks he said told me which one he likes. I chose the cucumber (I love cucumbers) but, I’ll definitely try the passion fruit and mango he recommended next time!!! He said “ok I’ll will be 3-5 minutes” I said “20” he said no “3-5 minutes”! It was ready in 3 minutes!!! Yes it will definitely be a next time!!! I felt the portion were great for the sizes of the double tortillas and, I’ll be going on Tuesdays for now on (when I am craving it)! I can honestly say the flavors are still lingering on my tongue!!!
Ambianceit’s really nice food truck w/covered clean seating (it’s about 5-6 large tables, picnic seating, with rolls of paper towels (you’re going to need them)! I decided to eat my meal there and, that was the best decision after I took those 5 down I ordered another 5 to go!!! Parking it’s a lot it’s another business in the lot but, it was plenty of parking! It’s located on a business street but, very calm driving and foot traffic!
I would highly recommend you giving Birriera PDX a try if you want good tacos and...
Read moreJust finished eating there so I'm going to post while everything is still fresh on my mouth. Watched a hundred videos of people raving about the tacos online so when I saw the trucks out driving I knew what I was ordering for the families Friday night takeout. Ordered 4 keto tacos, 4 queso tacos, 4 spider tacos, 2 vampire tacos, a machete, 2 consume and 3 drinks. Set a pickup time for my order because the weather was bad and we didn't want to wait out in the torrential downpour. Still waited 15 minutes past my scheduled time before we got most of our order. "No machete or coco drinks" they offered to replace the items with something else but I opted to just have them refund the items since we had our hearts set and our palettes waiting and wanting. Got the food home and realized that it's 70% hype and all a single flavor profile...... everything tasted the same, no variation in flavor to speak of. I was concerned when I picked up our $102.00 food order and it didn't even weigh 2 lbs with packing and fit into a standard bag..... Long and the short of it? Sadly over priced, over hyped, and they could shorten the menu by half and nobody would even know. At birrieria pdx a taco is a taco is a taco but hey the horchada with the works made it home just fine and tasted great. As a retired chef and food cart aficionado I absolutely won't be going back to the one trick pony of Birrieria PDX. I can go to any of my normal Mexican places and spend half as much for twice as much food and get...
Read moreLike I said in a previous review, they have very good flavor , I think the best in any city or state for that matter, but its offensive how skimpy they are with the meat. They give you a dirty look when you cant pronounce everything on the menu correctly and its always anxiety inducing and awkward going there this is 100% the last time I’ll ever go. I ordered 6 queatacos and they all such a little amount of meat, but one taco particularly had nothing in it so I took it up the cook and he started speaking to me as if someone else cooked the food but apologetic and took a picture of the taco to “show the cook” because it’s supposed to be portioned out. Yeah right. Anyway, he kindly remade me a taco and it had twice the amount of meat as any of the tacos I received. I really don’t mean to sound like a p1g or anything but when this place first opened yall they STUFFED the tacos with meat and than they put less and less and I asked about it and they said the owner said they had to put less. It was still enough for a while so I kept going but the past six months this is a JOKE AND SCAM. I UNDERSTAND the cost of meat and food is rising but why not just charge $3.5 or $4 a taco and stuff them like you always do… who wants a taco thats JUST CHEESE. I rlly felt like a fool and maybe I was starving but I felt like cry. $27 down the drain just to feel embarrassed, awkward, and also get nauseous from the food. Please dont...
