Salt Cellar — Local services in Portsmouth

Of all of the salt shops I have ever been to, this one is by far the coolest and best. I am addicted to just about everything truffle, including truffle salt. Their black truffle sea salt is hands down the best I’ve found. Between the fineness of the salt and truffle flavor, it is truly just the best in class. This time I walked away with their basil infused sea salt (which apparently flies off the shelves), the habanero hot sea salt and their siracha infused sea salt. Gave their ghost pepper sea salt a try and it was incredible (scale of 9/10 on hot scale), just didn’t have a vision for it quite yet.

The cherry on top was when we were done checking out, the owner through in some sea salt chocolate caramels as we were in Portsmouth celebrating my mom’s birthday. Such a sweet, not salty (;, gesture

Just happened upon this shop when we were in Portsmouth for dining. This shop has samples of many very naturally flavored salts. I purchase the Sriracha and Onion flavors for our daughters and the Black Truffle flavor for myself as stocking stuffers. I have used the Truffle Salt on eggs ... delicious! Homemade mac n cheese ... delicious! I have a tiny plastic spoon that I use to get some out of the small bottle. Each person can have their own individual flavored salt. Very cool/smart/flavorful! The woman who was tending the shop the night we were there was very friendly and allowing of my "I don't know the heck what I'm doing here and what the proper protocol is for...

Cute little gemstone in downtown Portsmouth. Beautiful and unique decoration. They have the most amazing cooking ingredients you can imagine. The atmosphere is incredible the stuff is very knowledgeable the price is reasonable. I can’t tell you how much we enjoy using the unique salts in my kitchen. Spoil yourself with their body products. You are not going to be disappointed. They have a store in downtown Newburyport as well.
