My wife and I are from Kansas City and we have been in Miami Florida for the last several years. Next to close family friends, my wife misses the chocolates from Laura Little's. My wife is a choco-holic and absolutely loves dark chocolate. She has had all kinds of different chocolates from all around the world and her favorite will always be Laura Little's. Needless to say since we have been living in Miami, Laura Little's chocolates have been scarce but since I know my wife and her birthday was so close, I took a chance on having them delivered to Florida. I was worried that they may not make the trip. I am happy to say that not only did they make the trip, they showed up in excellent condition. My wife couldn't believe it when she opened the box. They made my wife's birthday, which is always a great day, they made it an even better day. From the first bite you can tell that nothing can replace love and you can taste the love that was put into each piece of chocolate and fudge they sent. I can already tell that my wife cannot wait to bite into every piece that we ordered. I like chocolate just fine and most chocolate taste about the same but you can taste the difference when it comes from Laura Littles. Christine is the manager (I hope that's how she spells her name) and when I called to place the order, she was more than helpful and attentative to my concerns. She assured me that they would be packed and shipped properly and that they would make the trip. She lived up to her word and delivered us the most superior chocolates we have ever had. I am really boasting because as most husband know, A happy wife is a happy life. Thank you again Christine and Laura Little's for making my wife's birthday a "Little" more special and and my night just as exciting. I can't...
Read moreI called a week in advance to order chocolate covered strawberries and was told there was no need to pre-order, that they have chocolate covered strawberries every day now. I nervously said I would be grabbing them after work and was worried they would be out by then and I was assured that they always have plenty and there was no need to pre-order. You know how this ends right? They were out--had none of the 3 different types. I called 4 other places in the city in a last minute panic and was told they had none, that I would have needed to pre-order. So, approximately 2 hours before the special occasion I have to explain to my friend how I dropped the ball and don't have the one thing I was asked to bring. Please educate the staff to not make empty promises; the repercussions are farther reaching they may...
Read moreI stumbled into this place today while I was in the area and am glad I stopped in. This place is a throwback to how businesses were run in the early and mid 20th century. Grab a ticket and wait for your number to be called while you peruse the large display cases of chocolate available or you can watch employees in the back working away to make the next batch of chocolate goodness. The charm of this place is that they are doing business the same as they were 50 years ago, and their antique clock and ticket machine add to the experience. The person who waited on me was very patient and helpful in explaining differences and presenting options. The items I purchased were delicious and I will be back soon to sample some other varieties. I wish there were more...
