I was planning to wait until after my custom rework piece was completed to leave a review, but decided I needed to post now about my experience so far-- I'm a planner, so I was getting quotes for a project I want to have done about a year from now and I don't think it's fair to keep my experience to myself for that much longer!

I had sketched a design for my dream project of using stones from a sentimental wedding set to create a necklace and took that to a few different jewelers (big and small). Elsewhere, the responses varied: inflated quotes full of up selling, wanting to change key design elements to take shortcuts using 'not exact but closely sized' stock settings, high-pressure tactics to get me to do the project right away, condescending/dismissive attitudes... you get the picture. Disenchanted, I decided to try one last place before giving up on the project entirely and I'm so glad I did! I never would have guessed that a little shop tucked away by a grocery store would be the perfect place, but from the moment I walked in the Voetsch family made me feel so welcome. They took so much time to listen to my design ideas and goals, even meeting with me a couple of separate times and asking lots of very detailed questions to make sure they understood my vision perfectly. Looking at the pieces in their shop I have no doubts about the quality of their work and attention to detail. While the estimate for the piece is a bit higher than I had hoped, that is a result of my lack of experience since this would be my first custom piece- this was nowhere near the highest quote I was given elsewhere from the same design sketch so I don't feel that the Voetsch estimate is unfairly based. I just had no idea what to expect before starting to gather quotes. My favorite part of the experience so far has been their completely relaxed and accommodating response from the very beginning to my plan of having the actual piece done close to the end of 2026. They did not bat an eyelash at this and have devoted as much time, attention, and energy to my modest little dream project as if I had walked in the door planning to immediately spend tens of thousands of dollars. I have felt so very valued every step of the way- they even completed another small repair project for me at a very low price during the planning of the custom piece. When the time comes to complete my project I will definitely be working with this lovely, kind, welcoming, and talented family to get it done! If you have been dreaming of a custom concept for reworking something you have sitting in a jewelry box but have been too intimidated to start, I highly recommend visiting here to talk with them...

I brought in some designs to do custom work. I brought in three printed off pictures. I wanted to merge the ideas from the pictures to produce something new.

They flat-out told me they don't copy other people's work and told me they could not custom design my ring rudely.. So naturally I took my business to another place on main street just past the plaza. I told this other place the EXACT SAME thing, with the same pictures, that I wanted at this place and they said, "Of course you can do this, we will do that for you. We are not copying anybody's work."

If you plan on spending a couple thousand dollars on an engagement ring. Do not do it here. I was not cared for as a customer and I was treated like an idiot. I'm sorry I haven't spent 20 years building jewelry. I know what I want and other places were able to do that for me....

My fiancee and I found ourselves in a time crunch. We had planned to get married in September but pushed it forward to July to have our dream wedding by eloping to a Caribbean beach. We went in on a Friday and needed our rings by Tuesday.
