We have been Costco members since the 90s. I wish they offered smaller sizes in clothes. We did have an incident when entering. The card checker said no guns were allowed. I said since when and took my gun to my motorcycle. When I returned, the manager was there as if I was making a big deal about it. He stated that it's in our member agreement that we signed not to bring firearms in the warehouse. We replied that we signed in the early 90s and have always carried a firearm in Costcos across the U.S. We have seen many people open carry in this particular Costco (all who have been white). We said there should be a sign that states no firearms allowed. He replied with "we don't need to" as it's private property. I stated I don't know why he was called here to talk to me. I felt like I was being reprimanded for not knowing everything in the member agreement I signed in the 90s. I stated she (entrance checker) better hope I don't see anyone in the warehouse with a gun. The manager, with an authoritative voice said "what are you going to do?" I replied with "file a racist law suit. " Why was the manager called? Is it because a brown skin person with a gun, who asked when the no gun policy started and said he has seen many people carry guns in this warehouse? Same person who immediately took gun to vehicle. Keep in mind I am only 5'4" 135lbs, so not an intimidating size and walking in with my 110lb wife. In addition, we have concealed carry permits since 2003 in Virginia and 2022 in AZ, so we have been fully vetted. My wife served and I am the son of a retired vet. I would have served, but I was the last male, and my older brothers were serving. As a martial arts instructor, I have a calm demeanor. There was absolutely no reason for the manager to be called to speak to me, I felt like I was being harassed. They should post a no firearms sign just like at the bars and other private property. They should also have one way directional arrows for the disability parking in the front where parking spots are at an angle. They have them in other areas of the lot where spots are...
Read moreTwo stars They're lucky they got that!! To me the produce has gone downhill!!and once they get a good thing in the store and you only shop every few months to stock up and they don't carry it anymore!! Or they move the stuff around? I'm there to shop for the same things that I buy every three months ..I have been shopping at this Costco for many years now. The rudeness of the employees gotta go. And change their freaking attitudes!!! Especially the majority of your cashiers!!! Give Me an attitude.!! I'll give it right back!! When I ask for help or a simple question. And I asked politely. I would say probably three out of 10. Employees are the sweetest and kind, and will go out of their way to help you. As far as the rest!! You need an attitude adjustment, the store used to be a nice store. I understand working with customers all day. I've been in customer service for years and believe me you get some of the rudest ignorant customers that come in. I know I ran into quite a few in your store and I've given them an attitude adjustment.( P.S.)(Your store!!!is not a political store!! Or a voting Booth) It seems this past weekend August 17th 2024.) But when somebody politely asks for help or a question, don't be ignorant.!! Be polite!! I watch and I do observe. And stop changing the store around!! I know it's a marketing gimmick. Oh and then the refrigerator department where the cold produce is. Make sure that you take all the empty boxes out and stack new produce!!! so we don't have to dig on the bottom to get what we want and then have an employee from the produce department. Be very rude about it. If they do their freaking job we wouldn't have to be doing their job!!! I know the closest Sam's club is in Flagstaff and I have Sam's membership also. Well I guess I'll be making that trip up the flag to do my shopping for now on. And the Costco down off the 101 in Scottsdale once the weather cools down. It's not worth the headaches and the BS at that store!! The rudeness !!! and the nightmare from Hell...
Read moreI’m truly shocked and disappointed. I typically have a great experience at Costco and receive great customer service. But tonight I had a very different experience. Tonight I got to experience employees making rude comments to one another about me in the clothing department. They were making comments about how I was looking through the clothes as if you’re not supposed to actually shop the clothes and look through them in order to find the size that you need. Mind you, I always return things to their original place because I have worked retail in the past so I understand. However, it is never okay to make inappropriate comments about a customer especially when they can hear you. But the worst part was when I went and got gas and was greeted by yet another rude employee who this time actually had the audacity to make a rude comment right In front of me. She said something along the lines of “I can’t stand all of these people always on their phones.” Frankly it was none of her business but yes I choose to be on my phone when I get gas because I am a young woman and I was by myself so I prefer to be on the phone with someone for safety purposes and I have every right to do so without enduring a rude and unnecessary comment from an employee. She then proceeded to instruct me on how to pump gas into my car in a condescending and irritated manner, as if I’ve never put gas in my car before... Both of these situations were so incredibly unprofessional. I would like to make note that I usually receive great customer service from the friendly greeters and receipt checkers and employees at checkout so that’s why I am just so disappointed by these few other employees. Truly hope to not have to experience this again, please do better.
This took place 05/20/21 between 7:00pm and 8:15pm. I wasn’t able to get the names of the employees that I had a bad...
