Me and my boyfriend stopped by yesterday for dinner, I really wanted a hot bowl of ramen soup on a cold fall day after having a really long day of work for both of us. I have eaten here before and have always had a pleasant experience but this one was so bad I had to leave a review. We get seated and there are quite a few tables here already, maybe 5- the music is on pretty loud, but the tv is on with sound really loud too. I am neurodivergent and this was very over stimulating because i couldnt even really have a conversation with my boyfriend. Mind you- it was really cold this night, they had both doors open and they had seated us right next to an open door, I did ask if we could have one of the doors closed, and the ONLY server that was working did close it. They have signs up that they apologize for being shorted staffed and we did not get our order taken for 10 minutes after we sat down, which wasn’t a big deal at first but i got pretty irritated with not only being so over stimulated with all of the noise but I’m not sure if this is the manager or what but a gentleman in the sushi bar was screaming at the tv watching the baseball game, i couldn’t understand what he was screaming about, but my boyfriend said he was cussing at the game. So after deciding what to order our server did come by, he was very sweet and looked to be very young so i could tell he was working his hardest to serve and help buss tables. I am Disappointed in the fact that the man behind the sushi bar was so fixated on watching tv that he couldn’t help with the tables or help our server. We did order edamame, and i was So disappointed again because they tasted microwaved, they were so hot but yet so undercooked, we didn’t have more than a couple- i wouldnt Have eaten really any, but i was so hungry from working all day i didnt Care. Then i got my food pretty fast after ordering, i got the miso seafood ramen and my boyfriend got a poke bowl. I get my ramen like 7 minutes before him- which is odd because his dish is cold, anyways my soup was luke warm and all of the seafood in it so tasted old i couldn’t eat more than a couple bites, my boyfriend took one good first bite out of his dish and he could barely swallow his food, he had me try it and i couldnt Even swallow it was so bad. Me nor my boyfriend are picky eaters and this was a first where we both really didn’t like our dishes. I paid For our food because i felt bad to send it back but i will Not be coming back to this establishment. It has really come downhill since it opened which has made me really sad. Please do better, i understand people working hard and you are there all day but people come to pay their hard earned money for an experience, and this was a really...
Read moreI was craving ramen and everything else in Prescott seemed to be closing around 8-8:30pm so when i stumbled upon this location, I was grateful that they took my order (even though it was 20 minutes before closing…) I’m not sure if that’s a cultural thing up here but typically a restaurant will take orders until at least 10 minutes before closing time. The person seemed very reluctant to do it but ultimately decided to take my order because, well, that’s money on the table you’re essentially saying no to.
I ordered: tonkotsu ramen California roll medium poke bowl with salmon
The tonkotsu ramen is delicious if you’ve never had real tonkotsu ramen before. I’d probably scale this as being better than your homemade instant noodles and definitely under the actual 16-hr slow-cooked broth you’d find at a real ramen shop. HOWEVER, I do love that the chashu pieces were BEYOND generous and thick. It was a 5/5 in that aspect. The rest of the toppings were fairly generous and in truth it wasn’t terrible but for the price I paid for the bowl I could have gone to one in LA instead.
The California roll tasted exactly as I expected it to but I felt they were very generous on the avocado which I loved.
The poke bowl was alright. I actually think they forgot to give us our sauce unless they had mixed it in the bowl.
Overall, while this isn’t my immediate choice for ramen and poke, it’s still a fairly decent restaurant with...
Read moreI can’t rate the food because they didn’t make our order. The total was $70.26. I handed him cash but after he took it he handed it back and said we can’t take $100 dollar bills. So I tapped my card, signed for it, left cash for a tip. They said the order didn’t go through so we told them everything we ordered again. Instead of making the food and drinks, it was a take out order..the manager called someone to help, but she just kept asking me to swipe again. I showed her that the transaction went through on my Wells Fargo bank account app. She kept asking to swipe the card again. At over 70 bucks for 2 meals and 4 drinks I’m not swiping again. They did not make our food. We waited an hour. So.. off to the next round of bureaucratic b.s.
Don’t come to Prescott and open up a business with zero customer service and no one behind the counter who knows how to handle these situations. The answer should’ve been “we see that you paid, we will make your order and handle it on our end later. Sorry for the inconvenience.” Done! Happy understanding people. But that’s not how it went :( I’m sure the food...
