10/15/25- After seven months I have received a refund 6/8/25- EDIT: Once my review became most relevant they reached back out to me but are only willing to “make it right” if I delete my entire review. When I said I am only willing to put it to three stars with an amendment that they resolved it they once again said they need to ask their boss and never called me back. From my experience REconnect uses shady billing practices, tries to overprice and upsale, does not pay attention to repairs and has no integrity when things go wrong. On 3/31/25 I brought my laptop in to have the shattered screen replaced. They told me that they required a $65 deposit that would later be taken off the repair cost and I should hear from them that day on the repair cost price. I did not hear from them and walked in 4/1 to find they had taken down my phone number wrong, and was given the repair price and corrected my phone number. On 4/8 I was called and told the repair was done and they would happily replace the thermal paste for an extra $100 while they had it open because it was getting very worn and normally they would charge $150. My laptop is only 6 months old. When I picked up the laptop I had to remind the Bracken that they also had my charging cable as they almost forgot to give it back to me. I received my laptop and discovered that they put the deposit BACK onto the cost before taking it off when I looked at the receipt, which means it did not actually come off the cost of the repair. As soon as I got home I checked my webcam to find it had been installed incorrectly being off center and immediately took it back, where their technician took apart the computer and informed me that they had broken the bracket when installing the screen and would replace it as well as give me compensation when the repair was complete. (see video) On 4/16 I received a call that the part had come in and when they tried to install it the backing plate of my screen had been damaged "when I dropped the laptop" and that they would still replace it for free as "they should have noticed it initially" (I never dropped it, the screen was damaged another way) and that they would have to order THAT part in, going back on the previous statement that I have on video saying they are at fault. I took the laptop with me while waiting for the backing plate, since I am not blessed enough to have a spare computer for months at a time of repairs. On 4/28 I received a call from Bracken stating that the blacking plate was back ordered by over six months and they recommended instead of repairing my six month old computer that is in perfect working order other than the things they broke I should buy a completely new computer FROM THEM, with the cost I already put toward the repair taken off. I told him that I would not be doing that and would like money refunded for the improper repair. He said he would have to talk to his manager and get back to me, I responded that he should. I have not heard back from anyone at the store since. At this point the backing plate on my computer is still loose and has scratches in it from being pried off multiple times, and I have no working webcam or mic. I have given them a few months before writing these reviews to give them the chance to make it right, but I feel they are not going to. Read moreVery disappointed with this company, I went there 2 years ago and the service was great so I decided to go back 8/9/2025. I have an older phone that I just wanted the battery to be replaced. I told the guy I didn’t want to purchase a new phone I only wanted a battery, the phone wasn’t holding a charge very long and the phone would just shut down, I was asked how long that was happening and I said about a week. I was told it might be the motherboard in the phone, again I just said I just wanted a battery. When the guy came back with my phone he said the phone wasn’t holding a charge and was still shutting down and I could purchase a new phone, he would apply the $83. toward a new phone, and transfer all of my phone contents to the new phone. Again I said I didn’t want a new phone. I told him to give me my phone, with just a new battery. He said this happens to other people and they always come back to buy a new phone. I left but something wasn’t adding up. The phone was not holding any charge at all and was worse than the old battery. I decided to take my phone to batteries plus in Prescott Valley and asked him if he could tell me if the battery that was replaced in my phone was good or not. After he checked it he said the battery was not holding a charge and I probably got a bad battery, he suggested I take it back and get another battery or get a refund. I told him the guy at Reconnected Device probably would not give me a refund, he said he should since the battery is defective. So I go back and told the guy I went to batteries plus and told him what was said, i suggested he call the guy at Batteries Plus and he said I’m not going to call him, he’s nothing to me. I said I wanted my old battery back and told him to take the new battery back, that my old battery held a charge better than the battery he put in my phone, he yelled saying he would not give me my old battery back there was some kind of law he couldn’t and he couldn’t take out the new battery because it would harm the new battery. I told him I was going to write a really bad review if he didn’t give me my old battery, He finally gave me back my battery, however he did not give me a refund, I went back to batteries plus I asked him if it was true if a battery was taken out it damages the new battery, he said it was not true. So he replaced the supposedly new battery with my old battery and I had him order a new battery for me. It is my opinion that reconnect device repair has really gone down hill I believe the guy I worked with that day was called Bracken, I think he is a con, I will never go back there and not recommend them to anyone. I did write a review because I don’t want anyone else to experience what I did. I also received an email saying I wrote a 5 star review and Bracken did a great job on my battery. Read moreI've been there becuase I have a gap from my phone and screen. After fixing the screen, my phone getting lagging and cannot use it and they changed another screen, my speaker had a problem. So, they changed my speaker but after fixing the speaker, if my phone got little impact the phone was turned off even if just left on my pocket. I've been there many times but they didn't believe and cannot fix and blaming my fault. So, I've been argument with them they fixed properly for turning off my phone. And they told me if my phone have problems they'll reimburse for my phone. And after fixing again my phone again made gap between my screen and device as well. So, I asked to reimburse my phone. But they cannot because my phone is working. but keep making the gap is not normal and my phone is orignally waterproof but If I didn't realize it water or something I drop? my phone will be gone. That is not working normal waterproof as well. but they said it's working properly. and cannot reimburse. After that I fixed my phone agian. So, I changed my phone because whenever my phone took over here made anther and serious problem again and when they changed my screen the screen has little dent something and they said it doesn't affect to trade-in value. but because of that my phone trade in price drop a lot. and to fixing my phone I've been there over 10 times and more like 3 months but they cannot fix properly and made other problems on my phone and lied on my trade in value. no reimburse even if they made problem on my phone.
