All the items. Every single one. That Iâve ever bought from them, turned out to be broken. Every single one. A Sony streaming media player, a LUMIX DSLR camera, cabinet speakers that were MISSING the speakers behind he cloth grills, speakers that did have the drivers but they werenât the ones that came in them (half were junk, the other half blown), then today... an Onkyo Reciever that doesnât even power on.
Yes, I know to test them in the store. Even aside from the fact they shouldnât be selling broken stuff (called âbusiness ethicsâ), I tested all the ones I could have. The streaming player powered on, as did the camera.... but the player would turn itself back off within a minute if you didnât have the original remote. And he camera had an internal problem and wouldnât transfer photos off of itself. The speakers... how CAN you test tower stereo speakers without an audio source and amplifier in the store? You canât. Neither will they let you disassemble hem there either. Iâd have checkled The reciever today, if they hadnât moved the test bench and replaced it with a bench loaded down with old ladies not eager to move (see what happens when you have manners in Mobile? Every time).
All told, Theyâve screwed me for around $700. No refundable. And donât even get me started on the âcharityâ BS. Theyâre not a charity. Charitys donât sell useless/broken merch and refuse refunds. Local charitys donât take DONATED merch, and sell it online at prices higher than anywhere else. And charitys donât pay the guy who runs it $730,000 a year! Thatâs the salary AFTER they got beat down in the media for paying...
Read moreThe store is ok. Could be cleaner and have a better selection. But one thing the store really needs is nice employees. Had the rudest cashier when I stopped in and only bought a couple of small things. Her body language made it very clear she did not want to be there and could care less. She tossed each customer's items around and slammed them down on the counter multiple times when ringing them up. She yelled really loudly and curtly for each next customer, barely greeted them, and never said anything nice when finished and just brushed the customer off to get to the next one. I was as friendly as possible to her, but she slammed down my container of ornaments at least three times on the counter and tossed them twice. I brought to her attention that the ornaments had an original price tag cheaper than what Goodwill had put on it. I was not going to pay more than what the ornaments were originally worth. Well, she looks at it then almost snaps at me, "Well, that's not our price!", flips it over to the other tag, "This is our price!". Then rings me up for the higher price. Once she threw the ornaments into the bag, she slams the ornaments down on the counter and tries to get the next customer before I even had a chance to react and grab my stuff. Will...
Read moreThey are not a charity. The items are given to them for free, they put crazy high prices on them. Nothing should be more than $10. Clothes should never be more than $4. Used, worn out, some items are broken. They still put high prices. $75 for a dingy stained rug. $20 for a beat up end table with a missing leg and the drawer that's broken. Really. Who do you think you are? Just because people are buying from you gladly because they think they are helping with the charity. Doesn't mean take advantage of their kind effort to help. The same one that gave you all their dead husband's items is being charged $84.47 for a outfit to wear to his funeral . Come on, where is your respect for the ones who pay for your life. Everything you have is free. Atlest give ten percent of the profit to a church. Wishing I could open a shop take all your customers and really give to a charity. Causing you to have to shake a cup daily for change might teach you respect for people. Everyone needs to open their minds. Stop being dumb . Your taking care of a wolf in...
