Mediterranean Sandwich Co. Wemo — Restaurant in Alabama

I would say Mediterranean-inspired or southern version of mediterranean food. I got the mixed grill panini and hummus. It was good but didnt blow my mind...kinda heavy. Pita seems oily and heavy. Place was clean, bathrooms very clean, but seemed like alot of the sandwiches had a lot of heavy sauces, cheese, bacon or conecuh. Could be some more vegetarian options for a 'mediterranean' place. I would agree with another reviewer on the heavy seasoning on the hummus and pita. I think it said sumac on the menu but it was also salt heavy...pretty but unnecessary. My first thought was 'salt'. Would suggest you guys ease up on that or make it optional, ask the customer if they want it because it's overkill and too salty. Should also look at improving ventilation...I had to take a shower when I got home to get the onion or whatever smell off. Overall its ok but could improve...

I mistook this place for the Pita Pit, and although the Pita Pit is good, Mediterranean Sandwich Shop is the absolute greatest.

First off, so very friendly staff (Schillinger Rd.) and they take such pride in preparing a great sandwich for you. If fast food workers were like these guys, I would be all for giving them a raise to $15 an hour!

My absolute favorite so far is the redneck shawarma. Trust. Me. (Please!!!!!)

The next one I tried is the local favorite, the mixed grill. It is GoodAF!!! (Translation: Great)

The great thing is that there is still so much on the menu to yet try.

We love to eat at Mediterranean sandwich Co. The food is always great. But tonight I was really impressed with the customer service. I have some health issues that keep me from leaving the house and had the food delivered. The order came and it was just part of the order. The door dash person told me there was nothing she could do, call door dash for a refund. Well that does not help my situation. So I called and they said my sandwiches were there.
