Pusheen and Japanese pop culture heaven!
This store is amazing. I come here often to continue fueling my addiction to Pusheen! and grab other things as well. Great selection of pretty much everything you can think of! Toys, plushies, bags, collectibles of ALL kinds, purses, mugs, wallets, candy, food, soooooo many things it would literally take me forever to write them all down! Everything is very fairly priced and all their merchandise is 100% authentic. The store is run by a husband and wife I believe and they are both so sweet and helpful. I love being greeted by the nice lady behind the counter, she is always smiling and joking with you. The only thing I wish was different is the size of the store, itâs very cramped and they have so much awesome stuff that has to be hidden away somewhat so they can put things on display. I hope they consider opening a larger store! I absolutely love Morning Glory, would recommend it to everyone. I bought 60$ worth of goodies today, a Pusheen plush, a Pusheen coloring book, awesome double sided colored pencils, a cute medicine container and an adorable little fox that covers my tooth brush. They gave me a free pack of Hi Chew candy which I thought was a very nice little thank you for my purchase. Great costumer service. They value...
Read moreAWFUL EXPERIENCE HERE! My 6 year old son used $6 of his birthday money to buy a slingshot rocket here. We took it to the University to try it out. On the FIRST attempt it broke, we tried to salvage it, but it was clear it was busted. I should have know it was total junk, amade in China novelty , and only $6,but he was so enthralled, I allowed him to buy it. We went back to the store and explained what had happened and the rude female woman (seemed like the owner), simply said: "NO! No, your child broke this." I explained that he used it once and it fell apart and we'd like our money back. She was incredibly rude and refused again and again and again. After further explanation and more refusal, I told her I wasn't leaving until she gave my son back the $6 he wasted on a junky toy. At this point an older man, (her husband?) came over, inspected the toy, and basically yelled at her (not in English). She then pounded open the register and ACTUALLY THREW THE $6 at me! Unbelievable! I have NEVER experienced something like this! Over a $6 piece of junk! And then, to explain everything to my 6 year old who was just upset about his new toy being broken, has to witness such a ridiculous altercation! Stay away from this...
Read moreThis place has some really cute stuff but is a mixed bag for me. The store is always clean and well organized, and they have a LOT of things, but its a very small store so expect cramped shopping. Prices can be high sometimes but hey it's Princeton. Besides import Asian items they have lots of western items that are good for gifts like cards, cups, children's books, gag gifts, etc. Buyer beware they do carry a couple bootlegs (namely I have seen some bootleg pokemon/Nintendo plush, Keychains, anime shirts, and figures) but it is mostly name brand or real import things. Its not trying to be a store aimed at collectors anyway. Also the staff (I assume owners?) Are not usually knowledgeable about what they carry. You can ask about a product (like "do you have this?" Or "Is that item __ brand/series?") and I have gotten dismissive responses like "I have no idea."
Also despite being called Morning Glory the store is super lacking in import stationery which is usually a staple of those stores. There aren't ANY large memo pads or letter/envelope sets, only a few small memo pads and lined notebooks and clear files, then a good selection of erasers/ stickers/pens and...
