I’m not sure what those other reviewers were talking about. I can’t express how glad I am to finally have an ultra-modern, high quality coffee shop in Princeton. Rojo’s and Small World don’t even compare. If you’re looking for a NYC style coffee shop in the heart of Princeton (as I was), this is the place for you. Immediately as I entered the establishment, I was greeted by 4 lovely staff members that informed me that this was their “soft opening” and to expect several changes in the coming weeks. Looking around, the place is absolutely gorgeous. Large windows throughout, cool wooden detailing on the walls, a crisp white aesthetic, and state of the art equipment - they’re using a Sanremo espresso machine (if you didn’t know - they’re top of the line). There’s some sort of futuristic water infuser that some of the workers were using to produce fruit-infused tea and water drinks. I asked to take some photos because I was so taken aback with the design of the place. They even have countertops made from a local tree that fell. The barista recommended I try their nitro cold brew, and a shot of their single origin Burundi roast. The cold brew was creamy without anything even being added to it. The Burundi was slightly tangy and citrusy for an espresso, but definitely up there in the top shots of espresso that I’ve consumed in my life – and trust me – that number is well into the hundreds. I settled on a cortado with the Burundi, and it was steamed to perfection. I, myself, own an espresso machine (it’s no Sanremo) so I can be a stickler on the ratio of water to grounds and the consistency of the milk. This one was on point. I noticed another reviewer noted that the heads weren’t being purged... the barista purged it twice, once before pulling the shot, and once after. I also noticed their lids for cold drinks have a hole so the usage of straws isn’t necessary, and I’m glad they’re being environmentally conscious. Long story short – I will be a repeat customer. Don’t let these other reviews fool you, these guys really know what they’re doing. Give it a try.

Amazing Coffee & Cozy Ambiance – A Must-Visit in Princeton! If you’re a coffee lover, Sakrid Coffee Roasters is an absolute must-visit in Princeton! This place truly stands out for its exceptional coffee, welcoming atmosphere, and top-notch service. I tried their Flat White with oat milk, and it was hands down one of the best coffees I’ve ever had in Princeton—perfectly balanced, smooth, and rich in flavor. You can tell they take their craft seriously, from the quality of beans to the precise brewing techniques. Beyond the coffee, the ambiance is fantastic—warm, modern, and inviting. Whether you’re looking for a quiet spot to work, catch up with friends, or just enjoy a great cup of coffee, this place has the perfect vibe. The seating is comfortable, and the whole space has a cozy yet stylish feel to it. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to make recommendations or chat about their coffee selections. Their passion for coffee is evident, and it makes the experience even better. Overall, Sakrid Coffee Roasters is a gem in Princeton, and I’ll definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates a high-quality coffee experience! ☕✨

A serene atmosphere greets you when you enter Sakrid. The pristine white tables, the overhanging whimsical ornaments, and the large windows overlooking Princeton University’s picturesque campus combine to create a uniquely inviting space. There’s a gentle hum of background noise. It’s a setting that urges you to slow dow, savor a…sacred…moment sipping your coffee while getting lost in a book, in conversation, or in your work. I always gravitate toward the simplest menu offerings. Their cold brew is full bodied, deeply flavorful, with subtle hints of fruitiness. On other days I can’t resist the espresso which is just so good I drink it straight. I’m not a coffee purist by any means. I love a sweet, frothy cappuccino or latte and both are undoubtedly divine here! But in my opinion Sakrid’s drinks are so flavorful on their own that they require no milk or added sweeteners whatsoever. A few weeks ago we also met the friendly owner who strolled over to introduce himself and chat. The personal gesture cemented the appeal of this café. While each Princeton coffee establishment offers its own unique vibe, for me, Sakrid stands out.

I rarely write reviews, but this was such a bad experience, that I couldn’t not write one. The coffee itself was very mid, but the real issue was with the service, cleanliness, and atmosphere in general. We did go at a busier time, but as someone who has worked in food service, I know how important it is to maintain quality and cleanliness standards even during a rush. It is also crucial to continue to have good customer service and positive interactions with customers. When we walked in, there was a long line of people waiting for their coffee and it was unclear where to order. Some other customers showed us where to order. The space to wait was very small and hot. When we got to the counter, the employee was unfriendly and rude. He seemed to have very little knowledge of what was going on in the place (what flavors were available, etc) and was rushing us to order (tried checking us out before we had finished the order). We didn’t have to wait very long for the coffee, but while we waited, we were able to observe how the coffee was being made. The employee who was making the drinks was very careless, wasn’t filling cups up all the way, and we watched several people pick up their cups and looking surprised to find that they were barely over half full. The employee was also not making the latte art in hot drinks, and rather, was just dumping the espresso in the cups. For the price of the coffee, quality standards should be maintained regardless of how many people are waiting. In addition to this, the female employee was not dressed appropriately for work. I usually don’t care what people are wearing, but at a place that serves food and beverages, a tank top and shorts bodysuit is not appropriate work attire. The coffee itself was fine, but nothing to rave about. One of our drinks had honey in it and it was not mixed with the espresso, so it was all clumped at the bottom. As someone who has worked in food service at a coffee shop, this is unacceptable! We had heard great things about this place and were very disappointed!! Will not...

I really gave this place a try. I came in a few times after I had made an online order. I am currently working at a place with a strict lunch schedule, which is why I order online. Usually when I order online from coffee shops, they tend to have the coffee ready by the time I get there. Every single time I have ordered online in advance, it hasn’t been ready. They usually make my coffee when I get there. The first time around, I noticed it was a bit busy so I let it go. The second time around, I arrived and it wasn’t busy at all. The staff was hanging out and talking. My coffee wasn’t made and I had to wait for it. I’ve been late going back to work because of this. Today, I ordered my coffee 40 minutes in advance, hoping that this would give them more time. When I got there, again the staff was hanging out and talking. They happened to receive my order when I got there (what they said), and blamed it on their computer system. I had ordered a matcha oat latte because it was available when I ordered it. I was told that they didn’t have oat milk - and that it tasted better with almond milk anyways. That was a lie. I paid $5.32 for a 12oz glass of milk. On top of that, I had ordered a hot drink and they gave me an iced drink. I didn’t have time to wait for them to remake it. So I took it. I was late again to my job, with an overpriced glass of almond milk. One of the staff members told me they needed a new computer system, and while that may be true, I also believe they need to attend to their responsibilities such as actually checking for orders...
