I went a few times a week when it first opened and now I am not sure I want to return. I totally understand that many items are from raw donations, but the amount of literal garbage is insane ...food wrappers, dirty paper towels, a diaper and other trash that came from someone's trash can are mixed in the housewares bins.
Anyone who has shopped in in Goodwill outlet knows that there's a risk of broken glass and there's always lots of absolute junk, but someone in the back is just dumping bags from trash cans in there.
Broken blinds. Smashed lampshades. Dirty underwear. Filthy suitcases (bed bug heaven). Yes, those are just normal junk you can find in the bins ...but food? Half eaten candy bar. Yuck.
The photos that are shown on Google with overflowing bins aren't all that accurate -- - those are from the first 2 weeks when they were hyping up the outlet store on social media.
Now it's just a place to go if you want to sit at a table and sleep while you wait for a rotation. And then a housewares bin finally comes out and you have to be a weight lifter to pick up the twisted metal and broken grill grates just so you can get a half eaten snickers bar.
The clothes are not terrible but not enough in the bins a slow rotations. Not as slow as housewares, but still...
Housewares are basically 1-2x a day and they are the worst of any GW outlet on the East Coast. Time to go back to CT or NH.

Read moreGreat location and very clean. The only issue is the rotation schedule --- it's painfully slow! Apparently they are only doing one housewares rotation per day and the clothing comes out depending on the # of people that are there.
More people will come if it's not so slow -- that's been a major complaint of most who love Goodwill outlet shopping! Connecticut and New Hampshire rotate more frequently and both are jam-packed with customers.
The new Providence store is SO exciting for local thrifters, but we don't want to sit there all day for just a couple rotations. When it first opened, the rotations were more frequent and the bins were loaded. Not so much anymore.
Perhaps it's slower because they are spending time in the e-commerce department going through each bin to pick things to sell on the Shop Goodwill site? The stuff they are putting on the GW site is overpriced, especially with the shipping/handling Goodwill charges and most of the items have no bids. Why not just dump it in the bins and let Rhode Islanders finally find some...
Read moreHello. I went to North Attleboro Good Will Donation Center many time and the shelves and clothes hangs on the stands in order. Very nice and prepared. Neat and no dirty and no messed. THUMB UP!
And in Warwick.. very nice and neat and have shelves for kitchen, electrics on the other shelves and easily to find what you are looking. No messed and no dirty at all. THUMB UP!
I went to this store in Providence for the first time. I was so shocked. It was the ugly Good Will Donation Center ever! The clothes are in Laundry bin and in messed. No clothes hangs on the stands to check them out. The shoes and sneakers.. ugh.. in the laundry bin and how do you find the pairs ? Dig them out to find the match ? Disrespectful. It is the worst place in Providence. I give 2 STARS. It is an embarrassment and I will never go there ever again. It was my first time today and it rip me off. Not highly recommended. Disgusting...
