So i bought a xbox live gift card on the 20th .it was a christmas present.come christmas it was opened and they tried to use it said the card had not been activated.we call gamestop they tell us to reach out to 1800 4my xbox that they couldnt help us.we call microsoft 1800 4my xbox they tell us that gamestop has to resolve our issue since we purchased the card through them and not microsoft.We call gamestop back they tell us its not a problem they can resolve that microsoft has to issue us a new code.we call microsoft back they explain the same thing.At this point im tired of the back and forth and lack of help from gamestop so i go in.we talk to katrina she tells us to call the 1800 4my xbox.we yet again explain the back and forth .she proceeds to call ken the district manager who again cannot help us tells us to call the 800 number on the receipt and tells us that they can offer us 50 percent off a card and they cant help us.FRUSTRATING.so we call the number were on hold for 30 mins the person hangs up.we call yet AGAIN this guy tells us the store has a internal help desk number thats suppose to assist them in these kind of situations.WE GO BACK AGAIN and they tell us their system is down theres nothing that can be done .We ask if we can get help at another store with this situation they tell us yes.HOW CAN A MANAGER AND DISTRICT MANAGER HAVE NO CLUE HOW TO HELP A CUSTOMER???? IF YOU NEED HELP WITH A CARD NOT BEING ACTIVATED CALL YOUR INTERNAL HELP DESK AND THEY WILL FIX THE ISSUE IN 5 MINUTES!We ended up going to the gamestop on diversy address 6451 w diversy g9 chicago .Jamal called the internal store number and fixed our issue within 5 MINUTES!Management is a freaken trainwreck at hillside.go to the gamestop on diversy if you need help Jamal will have your issue resolved within minutes .The most frustrating part is knowing that katrina the manager and the district manager ken had no clue what to do and their only solution is waste more money on a card that might also not work.IF ANYONE HAS ANY ISSUES WITH A GIFT CARD THE STORE NEEDS TO CALL THEIR INTERNAL HELP DESK.ITS NOT HARD AND THE PROBLEM IS...

Claimed the Pre-Order would come with a bonus (at time of pick up there was no bonus) When brought up she said ā They shouldāve told you when you Pre-orderedā SHE WAS THE ASSOCIATE WE PREORDERED WITH!! Not to forget when we went in to place this Pre-Order she did not bother to greet us at all she was too busy speaking on her personal phone to acknowledge that customers walked into the store. It wasn't until we walked around for a bit and then finally went to Preorder the game that she finally acknowledged our presence. We are also extremely disappointed with the District Manager/Regional Manager as we reached out to get a call back in regards to all the issues we were having and never received a call back.
