Michaels — Local services in Proviso Township

I literally had no plans to buy anything of any kind inside the store, but I realized that it’s been a long time since I visited this particular store, so I just found myself inside. I was in the area visiting my family to celebrate Easter with them. I had no particular item in mind to buy, but there was a lot of stuff inside that I expected that I would definitely not leave the store literally empty-handed. I have nieces and nephews, so I decided to buy them toys and art supplies that they would definitely enjoy. There are a lot of choices to choose from, and most of them are really useful, so it was not hard to choose a particular item. The prices were not that expensive either, so it was a really good purchase. I also checked their selection for Easter and was happy to see a lot of items on sale in that particular section. I made an emergency last minute trip to the store and i understand that working retail it is a little frustrating when a customer walks in last minute i completely understand!! So for that reason i walked in straight to the isle i needed to go to, grabbed what i needed and headed to the registers. In and out thing! as per usual you must be profesional when on the clock specially!! When working retail!! instead of giving the closing announcements the 10, 5 or closing announcement! Nope not today!! They did a “michaels is closed” and you then heard all the employees burst out laughing!! Rude!!!! A simple “we have a couple minutes to close, just so you know” to myself as i was walking in would have been a little more “professional” theyre always rude and unhelpful at...

This is a big well stocked store that has everything you need but I really wanted to write a review to say how amazing and kind this staff is. I was there twice this weekend on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning both times with my toddler son who was understandably very over stimulated (how could you not be with so many amazing colors and fun stuff around). Both days there were several different staff members who went out of their way to help, whether it was by playing goalie and blocking him from running out the automatic door while I was trying to check out or offering him a balloon while he was in the middle of a total meltdown.
