I only gave them one star because I had to in order to review. I will try to keep this as short as possible.
I bought a "Helix Signature" from this location, and got insurance on it. Got home with it, loaded it, tried and tried again, but it hit harshly, debris flew out and burned the back of my throat, it didn't have the usually-awesome spiral through the chamber.
After giving up on getting the pipe to function properly, I called Mary Jane's, and was told "Sorry, no refunds or exchanges," before being hung up on. I later called again and someone else answered, who told me I'd need to speak to Terri.
I decided to go to the store and speak with Terri in person. It was near impossible to get a straight answer by phone as to whether or not she was actually there, so eventually I just took my chances and went into the shop with my roommate while we were out.
At long last, I was able to speak with the elusive Terri, who approached straightaway with a miserable attitude. Feeling I had been patient up to this point, I was hoping she'd just refund me and let me go about my business so we could both be done with each other. I realize they they're clear about their no refunds policy, but by the time the woman was standing in my face being condescending and defending her shoddy product as though it were her own flesh and blood, I was way beyond trusting any product sold there and painfully aware of the poor quality of service.
Terri raised her voice to me. When my roommate interjected on my behalf, she yelled at her, too. My roomie walked out of the store at this point because she couldn't deal with the lady's drama. I continued trying to plead my case to Terri and her crew, at which point, one of her employees, some skinny dude with long-hair, tried to intimidate me into following my roommate out of the store by placing his hand on his SIDEARM.
Eventually I was too frustrated to continue the conversation and left, and to be fair, they offered me an exchange and said I could come carry out said exchange at my convenience. But knowing that they sold sub-par products they refused to stand behind, I would have strongly preferred even a refund for the amount the pipe was insured for, so as not to have to deal with them again.
I had to go through Helix USA to get myself sorted. They replaced the pipe with a Helix Signature that is 20 grams heavier and noticeably larger and works beautifully, with numerous visually obvious differences to the one from Mary Jane's. They sent a small personal gift for my troubles which is also head and shoulders above the product I originally bought at Mary Jane's.
TL;'DR - Shoddy products, INSANELY RUDE SERVICE, not worth the hassle.

Read moreHad a very negative experience on a item that was the wrong size. Tried exchanging o return the item before even leaving the store and was told by Dana, the apparent manager at the time, that a refund would only be possible if I had paid in cash. They did not have the proper size to exchange for in their shop so I asked if I could come to the sister store to try and handle the exchange there. Having nearly 45 minutes left before closing time at the sister store and being only a 10-minute driveway I was surprised when he told me that wasn't an option. He tried to give me a receipt and told me to just take it to the the sister store the next day. I pointed out that wasn't going to work because then I would be leaving the store with the product and they have no refund or exchange policy. Dana then went on to tell the item in question is not in their system in any store and said my only option at that point was a gift certificate. I pointed out that if none of the Mary Jane stores carry the item that I am looking for a gift certificate is not going to do me any justice as I am not going to be spending the money at Mary Jane's to purchase this item it would seem. At this point he just got very frustrated and huffed and puffed his way through the gift certificate process. At which point I asked if he was the manager and asked if I could have his name. He then got very frustrated just pointed in my hand where the envelope was and said it's on the certificate. Very great customer service Dana, definitely will not be shopping at Mary Jane's or any affiliate stores ever again. Almost doesn't seem worth shopping in the first place with the constant following and upselling, it makes you feel uncomfortable while you were shopping.
Edit: Clearly the very unprofessional owner did not even take the time to read this review. Sarcastically replying that they take care of exchanges best as possible and that I was not patient enough to be taken care of. An owner who throws sarcastic curls at people having an issue at their store is laughable enough. He or she went on and further demonstrated lack of professionalism with their piss poor spelling in their reply.lil is what you find before a rapper's name not in a properly structured sentence. The word is spelled little. I'm not surprised with such a poor reply coming from someone who couldn't even read the review properly. Just took offense to fact fact your incompetent staff couldn't handle an exchange. Completely looking past the poor customer service and failure to due the job properly acting as though they closed soon, despite having over 45 minutes till close. Seems like the owner is just as incompetent as Dana the manager on...
Read moreMy first time in there was on 420. At first it was a great experience the cashier guy was super nice and the one helping us seemed cool too. A friend of mine and I went together and put our order together to spend $100 to get the 42% discount and the $50 free swag bag. We had him help us keep track up to $100 pre-discount but he hustled us and we ended up spending $108 AFTER the discount. He had originally told us we would end up spending roughly $65 after the discount and he would give us the $50 swag bag AND since we were coming back that night he would add it with this purchase and work out giving us the $100 swag bag. But since we were hustled into spending extra He gave us the $100 free swag bag instead of the other one. when we split up the swag bag we got there was a wooden one hitter dugout thing but it was only the wooden box part the one hitter pipe that was supposed to be in it was missing. We went back up there that evening and they refused to give me the piece for it or exchange it for a complete one. We told.them about their great hustler as well although we knew nothing could be done about it. All in all it was a bad experience. In short:: we spent $40 each more than we were supposed to, since they refused to fix their mistake I ended up having to buy the one hitter piece for the dugout from Myxed Up thank god they had some, And felt like we were NOT appreciated as customers only numbers and how much money they could...
